Come to the Skills Clinics in February!

We are changing our 2012 registration process to better serve our kids.  We will be holding skills clinics on three Saturdays in February (Feb. 11, 18, and 25) at Carver Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The clinics will be designed to teach basic Baseball and Softball skills to players as well as knock off some of the rust.  At these clinics we will be accepting registrations.   Your child must be registered with Little League to participate in the clinic.  But once your child is registered, they are welcome to attend all three clinics.

We will start early registration online in January. If you register online, it guarantees your child can participate in all three February clinics.  Attached is a flyer on the clinics. Other information is contained in the handout section below.

We hope the clinics will improve skills and drive interest in baseball and softball upwards. Please feel free to tell other parents about our clinics. We have room for all skill levels in Little League and always welcome new faces.  The clinics can get newer players up to speed before they meet their team.

How can you help? Sponsor a team

How do you get good word-of-mouth recommendations?

Excellent service is a great start, obviously. But it’s also important to show customers that you are part of their community and care about what they care about. People remember acts of kindness and care, especially in St. Mary’s County.

One of the best ways to get word-of-mouth like that is to be a Little League sponsor.

This spring, the name of your business could be emblazoned on the back of the uniform shirt of a child ages 4 to 18 playing baseball, softball or T-ball in the St. Mary’s American Little League.

Parents take lots of pictures of their children wearing those shirts. Then they post the photos to Facebook or some online photo sharing website for their family and friends to see. Your name on that shirt makes the trip as well.

The children play ball from early April through June.  We also offer a fall league. For more than six months of the year, your name will be out in the community on a child’s ball shirt. You can pick the age level, even the name of the team you want to sponsor.

Not only will you be getting your name out, but you will be helping out the families of kids playing baseball, softball, and T-ball. Operating costs for our all-volunteer league keep rising each year. Your sponsorship keeps signup fees as cheap as possible.

The cost for being part of a family’s ball memories: $350 per team for the spring.  For $50 more your sponsorship can carry over to the fall season.  All tax-deductible.

Please get your order in as soon as you can so you get your pick of age level and team name, before February 1, 2012. A form is attached to make the process as easy as possible.

Thank you for making this a better Little League.
