Here are some basic facts regarding
South Lyon Unified Varsity Hockey
¶A Varsity sport comprised of players from both South Lyon & South Lyon East HS
¶Participates in the KLAA league
¶Season runs November through early March
¶Roster up to 22 players Grades 9-12
¶Home rink: Kensington Valley Ice House
¶Team Skates 5 days a week - Practices and games
¶Bus transportation provided for away games
¶Off ice workouts: 1 -2 X per week
¶Team provides home and away jersey, socks and team bag
¶Players provide all other gear
¶Spirit wear is optional
¶Ice fees paid by player- 2010-11 fees $950.00 plus $50 workout fee
Plus $175 District Pay to Play fee
¶Academic requirements of 2.0 or higher and no E's
¶Team events: Team dinners, Video reviews, Special events: Meet the team night, Face off dinner, Senior night, Community Service projects

I wanted to thank you for all the time and effort you put into this season. As a former coach of 20 plus seasons in football I know the commitment it takes. Much appreciated. I also want to commend you on the development of the team this season. I know that many people view the success of a team on wins and losses, but I think the true measure of a team’s development is how much better they've become at the end of the season vs. the beginning. This team kept improving as the season went on and it was evident that your approach was working, job well done.

Just wanted to say thank you both for all the effort and time you put into this hard-fought season. For us, it was a year filled with exciting moments watching our son play to what we know is his potential. You made this season both challenging and fun for him - he certainly ended the season a stronger hockey player.It was also exciting to see the new players develop and to see the team as a whole work together, quite quickly!!! Thanks again for all you do!
