Quotes

Hockey's a funny game. You have to prove yourself every shift, every game. It's not up to anybody else. You have to take pride in yourself.

2nd hit in the video...boarding-dangerous maybe from behind?  Very serious..forechecker takes athletic pose planning on real contact, defensive player does not make any last second sudden moves, forechecker does not minimize contact--onus is on the forechecker to think of safety and at the very least minimize contact when defensive player is vulnerable

legal 1 v 1 within stick length, forward dangling, d-man commits during possession--discuss..if forward dumps earlier before he is with in a stick length and the dman commits -stays engaged, hinders any forward progress and or wipes out the forward then it will probably be interference. In this case, d-man plays it very well, commits during possession and within proximity of stick length--legal.

boarding/checking from behind

boarding in a very dangerous area approx 3-5 feet from the boards causing the player to go violently and or uncontrollably into the boards or base of boards.

charging or cross checking or maybe some might call it check from behind----

Interference ..puck is too far for defenseman to just take the forward out and down with attempting to actually skate after the puck first.   Should have kept his feet moving toward puck and maybe even possibly "rubbed' forward a bit while getting an advantage without clearly knocking him down and out--as long as he is clearly attempting to play the puck as his first and obvious
