Managers and Coaches: Equipment Drop-Off Dates

We have decided to wait until after all teams have finished their seasons before we collect all the equipment. The two times we have set for coaches to drop off their equipment at ROTARY FIELD are;

    Sunday, August 3,  1-3 pm

    Monday, August 4, 6-8 pm

Each team should have one equipment bag, one helmet bag, and one ball bag/bucket. Before you drop it off it would help speed things up if you cleaned out the bags and removed any equipment that does not belong to Little League.

Please do not just leave your stuff at Rotary or Skippy between now and August 3rd.

If you are unable to make one of those two dates, please have one of the other coaches drop off the equipment for you.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

VOLUNTEERS: Please Note

The clock is ticking quickly...don't let the time run out before you have completed your volunteer hours.

Reminders:
*Each family is allowed to receive a maximum of 4 hours credit towards scorebooth.
*If you do not sign your name on the sign in sheets that are provided in the concession stand, you will be listed as a No Show and will not receive credit (that is the proof that you worked).
*If your name does not appear on the list, please hand write in your name.  The list is printed daily and sometimes someone signs up for a shift AFTER the list has been printed.
*Please don't wait to the last minute to complete your hours......so you can relax :-)

*If you have not registered online we can only assume that you are preferring to have your volunteer check cashed.

*There are plenty of concession stand openings.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

SLPLL All-Star teams complete 2008 tournament play

The 9-10 year old team managed by Ed Walsh fared the best of our SLPLL All-Star teams in recent tournament play. Winning 2 of the 3 games won by SLP All-Star teams this year, the 9-10 year olds showed the future may be bright for these players in the next 2 years. Congratulations to all players and coaches who participated on 2008 SLPLL All-Star teams! Thank you to the best fans in Little League for your support of the All-Stars!

The Online Volunteer Schedule is now available!

Click the above Volunteer Here link.

That link will take you to our volunteer schedule site. This site is where all the fun begins. None of you have a PIN (personal identification number) assigned to you. This is the first step. You need to create your PIN first. You will be asked a series of data questions. Please complete only the required fields. With nearly 400 little league families, it is important that we have correct child attached to the correct parent. If Stephanie Meyer was to complete 12 hours of volunteer work, we need to know that Stephanie Meyer is the mother for Nathan Anderson. We wouldn’t automatically know this.

Once the PIN is assigned, you simply use that with your last name and start choosing the opportunities listed. This system will track your hours completed, needed and pending and will send you an email to remind you of your commitment.  We have broken your choices into 1 hour segments. We have also created three segments for each time slot. You can work as few as 1 hour a day or try and get all 12 hours in one long weekend. The choice is yours. When looking at the opportunities, you will notice that it is listed in date order. Also, you will see concession 1, concession 2 or Concession 3. We are trying to get three people per shift. You can select any concession option. If the opportunity says Rotary, then you are obviously scheduled for Rotary field.  You will be able to schedule your volunteer commitment at 2 AM in your pajamas if you want. You will be able to log on from work and see how many hours you have yet to complete. Currently we have all the opportunities available through June 30. July’s opportunities will be added shortly.

Please note, some of you already have completed hours. Some of you have even finished your 12 hours. You still need to register. We will manually add your previously worked hours into the system.

Lost and Found
There are many pieces of equipment, clothing, toys, etc. that have been left at both Skippy and Rotary fields. If you are missing something that was last seen at one of the parks, consider checking the lost and found areas available at both fields. Items may be claimed at the Skippy garage adjacent to the concession stand, and at the Rotary shed located at the base of the announcing booth on field 1. Your last chance for claiming your belongings will be Sunday July 20, at the Rec Center pool from 7:30-9:30PM during the SLPLL pool party. After that, all unclaimed items will be donated.
