Skagit Volleyball Club: Welcome

SUMMER CAMPS:

Skagit Volleyball Club wants to help our athletes attend summer camps.  We will be offering scholarships of $50-$100 to our players to help them pay for summer volleyball camps.  The amount given to each player will depend on numerous things, including the cost of the camp or travel, the number of camps the athlete plans on doing this summer, on financial need. 

In order to receive the scholarship,  players need to send us an email with th following information:

• What camp they plan on attending
• How much the camp costs
• Why they want to attend this camp
• Any financial constraints that may keep them from attending

As fas as camps that we recommend, our favorite is Nevillizms Junkyard Dawgs Camps run by Bill Neville in Bellevue (www.nevillizms.com).  We also recommend camps at Western, Gonzaga, PLU, Portland State, and many other local universities.  LaConner also runs a setter and hitter clinic that is good as well.
For most of our players, we would recommend going to a position specific camp.  However, if you want to focus on your overall game, we support that as well!
We also recommend going to a camp you have never been to before.  Camps usually run on the same structure every year, so if you continue to go to the same one, you might not be learning anything new.
