ASA Amateur Softball Association's main website
This is the sanctioning organization of our League. We play by their rules with our modifications. Check here for ASA's list of legal and illegal bats.

ASANA Amateur Sports Alliance of North America
The Women's Division of NAGAAA broke off from NAGAAA in late 2007 to form this non-profit organizations, which now hosts the annual Softball World Series for women.

ASANA is dedicated to promoting amateur athletics for the gay and lesbian community. ASANA's current focus is on the development and support of women's softball with 26 member cities and as host to the Softball World Series. Moving forward, ASANA will continue to grow and support gay and lesbian athletics for all.


Billy deFrank LGBT Community Center
This is a nonprofit organization that serves the special needs of the South Bay area's lesbian, gay, bi and transgendered communities. They have been very supportive of our League, so please be supportive of them!

Gay Games VII Sports and Cultural Festival
The "Gay Games" are held every four years in a different country. Will be in Cologne, Germany in 2010. You or your team can participate by signing up! Huge international event. Not related to the SJWSL or NAGAAA.

Lavender Events
Check the site for lists of local GLBT-friendly events, clubs, destinations, sports leagues, and some! This new service is FREE for queer not-for-profit venues to communicate all the happenings for our community. Spread the word!

NAGAAA North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance
This is the nonprofit, volunteer-run organization that sanctions the annual Gay Softball World Series (GSWS) tournament that is hosted in a different city each year. Our league is no longer a member of NAGAAA, because as of 2008, they no longer offer a women's division at their GSWS tournament. We are now a member of ASANA which hosts the women's Softball World Series. ASANA was formerly known as thw Women's Division of NAGAAA.

San Francisco Gay Softball League
This "sister" league was founded in the 1970's and is one of the country's first two gay softball leagues. They offer women's and open division play and games are held on Sundays. This league is a founding member of NAGAAA.

San Jose Pride Festival

Silicon Valley Softball League
This is our local gay-friendly softball league that offers open division play. "Open" division teams can roster all-male, all-female or any male/female combination of players. Currently their league has about 20% women playing on the teams. The SVSL's games are played on Thursday evenings at Twin Creeks in Sunnyvale. A female player can play in BOTH the SVSL and our League.

SisterSpirit Bookstore
The SisterSpirit Bookstore is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that serves the special literature needs (and some) of the South Bay area LGBT community.

Softball World Series Seattle 2008
This site will show you information on the 2008 ASANA Softball World Series for women only, and on the NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series (men's and open teams, no all-women's).
