Varied distance passing and communication drill.

Objective.
Quality passing and movement, and communication drill.

1. Working in pairs, one player on pole 1, and his partner on pole 2.
Player 1 passes to player 2 and sprints after his own pass, player 2 stops the ball and sprints off to pole 3,and so on all around the circuit until both players arrive at the starting position, then the players change positions and repeat.
2. Working in pairs, one player on pole 1, and his partner on pole 2.
Player 1 passes to player 2 and sprints after his own pass, player 2 lays the ball off to one side of the pole and sprints off to pole 3,and so on all around the circuit until both players arrive at the starting position, then the players change positions and repeat.
3. Working in pairs, one player on pole 1, and his partner on pole 2.
Player 1 sprints with the ball to pole 2, at the same time player 2 sprints to pole 3,player 1 then Player 1 passes to player 2 and sprints after his own pass, player 2 stops the ball and sprints off to pole 4, and so on all around the circuit until both players arrive at the starting position, then the players change positions and repeat.
4. Working in pairs, one player on pole 1, and his partner on pole 2.

This drill can be done in various ways.
d. Vary the distances between the poles to give an all around passing and sprinting effect.
e. Use the whole pitch to increase the training load, towards endurance.
f. Use only the penalty area to increase the demands towards explosive short passing movement and reception.
