2007-2008 Scholars - Mid-Florida, Southeast, National - First Team, Second Team, Honorable Mention Team
Once the playing season is over, the scholars season continues as the scholar-athlete can be selected to the 1. Local Level - Mid-Florida Conference Scholars, and/or 2. Regional Level - Southeast Scholar and/or 3. National Level - National All-American Scholar. These scholars had to be in the 5th grade; had to have over an 96% average on the 2006-2007 report card and has to participate in activities in and out of the school - community activities, volunteering activities, received special awards at school, etc. It is not easy to be even eligible for the Scholar program, much less be selected to a "team". As the levels go up, of course, the competition is more because the target area is ever increasing. By the time the scholars are placed on First Team National All-Americans, they represent the Top 1%!
But, we have some exceptional Panthers who have represented Azalea Park proudly serving as our Scholar-Athletes.

We are so proud of our Scholars!! Congratulations to the scholars and to their families. It is quite an honor.

1. Mid-Florida Conference Scholars First Team:
Connor Ensley (5th), John Irwin (5th), Daniel Cheney (7th),  Jessica Santa Maria (8th)

2. Southeast Region Scholars First Team:
John Irwin (5th)

As a result, have been invited to attend the 48th Annual Pop Warner Scholastic Banquet which takes place on Friday, May 23 & Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Coronado Springs Resort at DisneyWorld in Lake Buena Vista, Fl."

Midgets - Division II Wild Cards Champions
Midgets advance to Playoffs as Division II Wild Card!!
The Midgets played Monday October 31, 2005 at Winter Springs High School. The night was a battle and our boys played with 200% heart and of course, talent, to defeat West Volusia and West Orange in the Kansas City Tie-breaker round at Winter Springs High School. All who did manage to navigate the Halloween traffic and the change in fields ... THANKS for coming out to support the Panthers! Next opportunity for support ....

Next Game: Tuesday 11-1-05 at Oak Ridge High School playing South Central.
Game Time: 8:00pm (though there is a 6:30pm before us).
Midgets be there at 6:15pm. Be prepared for weigh-in, cleat check, helmet check.

Tuesday night, November 1st, 2005, the Midgets played South Central in order to advance to the Mid-Florida Championship game. It was a dark and rainy night ... The Midgets were competitive till the very end, but did lose to the South Central team 0-12. The Midgets had a wonderful record and a fantastic season. CONGRATULATIONS to the boys, the coaches, and the parents! Great season you guys.
