NYIT has been a Division 1 program since 1981 and has traditionally had some of metropolitan New York's best college players. Since 1981 over 50 of our players have signed professional contracts, we have had 4 Division 1 All Americans with the last one in 2002 ( Tom Merkle Northeast's ECAC Player of the Year). We are presently a NCAA DIV. 1 independent and play a regional and national schedule.

Purchase College
First year of the program and if someone wants a great opportunity to begin a program and set the benchmarks while having a chance to play right away, then Purchase is a great place. We are a new D3 program, with a new baseball field. We will play a light 17 game schedule this spring and gradually grow it. We are also trying to play in Cooperstown with Westchester CC.
