Slovenian national U-18 youth team is winner of U-18 "TORNEO EUROPEO SPERIMENTALE" which was held in province Carnia in Italy. In tournament participated national teams of: Italia, Albania, San Marino, Poland (group A), England, Romania, Greece and Slovenia.

International tournament for U-18 national team in Italy
Arta Terme - Italy, 09.-15.06.2003
National team of Slovenia U 18 is travelling to Italy on Monday to play "UEFA U-18 TORNEO SPERIMENTALE". Slovenian team is in the group together with England, Romania and Greece. Only first place in the group leads to the Finals. Slovenia is playing the first match against England on Tuesday, June 10.

Good start against Switzerland
Slovenian junior team U 19 made a good start at the second round of qualifications for European Championship. Slovenia defeated Switzerland with 2:1 (1:1). Switzerland got the lead soon after kick off, but Slovenians returned to the game by first goal of Zlatko Dediè. AC Parma striker brought the victory for Slovenians with his second goal after nice solo action and attractive goal.

Junior team heading for Ireland
National team of Slovenia U 19 is travelling to Ireland on Saturday to play the 2nd round of qualifications for European Championship. Slovenian team is in the group together with Ireland, England and Switzerland. Only first place in the group leads to the Championship. Slovenia is playing the first match against Switzerland on Monday, May 19.

Very good team from Hungary defeated Slovenian juniors with 2:1 (1:0)in Csesztreg (Hungary). Slovenian team showed poor performance during the first half time, but improved their skills in the second one, unfortunately without success. The scorer for Slovenian team was Zlatko Dedic (AS PARMA - Italy)

U-19 Slovenia vs. U-19 Hungary 0:1 (0:1)
U-19 youth national team of Slovenia played the first one of two friendly matches against Hungary in Lendava today. Very good team from Hungary defeated Slovenian juniors with 1:0 (1:0). Slovenian team showed poor performance during the first half time, but improved their skills in the second one, unfortunately without success. The second match will be played in Hungary on Thursday, March 27.
Slovenia will play another two friendlies against Northern Ireland in April before departure to the second round of qualifications for European Championship.

Slovenian U-19 national team has start preparation period (24.-27-03.2003) for second part of U-19 European qualifications with camp in Murska Sobota (Hotel Diana and fields in Kapca) and friednlies vs. U-19 Hungarian youth national team in Lendava and Czesztreg (Hungary. The qualifications will be held in May in England.

U-19 national team won group 10
After losting first match vs. SCOTLAND 1:2 and beating ICELAND 2:1 in second match and YUGOSLAVIA 4:1 in third match, Slovenian U-19 national team won the group 10. Slovenia and Yugoslavia qualified for the next round of qualifications, Scotland was the third and Iceland the fourth.

SLOVENIA vs. YUGOSLAVIA 4:1
National team of Slovenia U 19 won the match in qualification group 10 for European Championship against Yugoslavia with 4:1 (2:0). Slovenia played very good in front of 1.200 spectators in Murska Sobota and defeated favourised Yugoslavian team. Scorers for Slovenia were Dedic and Robnik, both scored two goals.
ICELAND vs. SLOVENIA 1:2
At the qualifying Under-19 tournament for EC 2003, Slovenia won over Island and celebrated its first victory. The first goal was scored in the last minute of the first half, after our team succeded to realize the predominance in the first 45 minutes. However, in spite of the predominance, the opponents had some dangerous conterattacks, so our goalkeeper had quite some work. At the beginning of the second half, in 47. minute, bad news for Slovenia -- our player Brecko had to leave the playground after receiving the second yellow card. Playing with just 10 men was a handicap, seen at the field, especially defence was weakened, so the Islandese had more space to play. In the 78. minute, penalty for Slovenia after a foul on Semler and 2:1 scored by Bozic. Islandese have only managed to score a goal of honour in the last minute of the match. In the other match of the tournament, Yugoslavia defeatde Scotland by 4:1 (3:0). ranking table before the last matches on Friday: 1. Yugoslavia, 2. Scotland, 3. Slovenia, 4. Island.
SCOTLAND vs. SLOVENIA 2:1
The qualifying mini-tournament in Group 10 for European Championships Under 19, organized by Football Association of Slovenia and Interregional Football Association from Murska Sobota, started yesterday with matches in Kidricevo (Island-Yugoslavia, 3:1) and Krizevci (Scotland-Slovenia, 2:1). The next round is scheduled for Wednesday: Scotland-Yugoslavia, Slovenia-Island. The last round is on Friday, the first- and second-ranked team qualify for the second round of qualifications.

Today I went to Murska Sobota in preparation for UEFA U-19 european qualifications as assistant coach for Slovenian national U-19 team. In qualification they will participate U-19 national teams of SCOTLAND, ICELAND, YUGOSLAVIA and SLOVENIA
UEFA U-19 tournament in Prekmurje
Football Association of Slovenia and Interregional Football Association from Murska Sobota are organising qualifying UEFA tournament for U 19 European Championship. Teams from group 10, Iceland, Scotland, Yugoslavia and Slovenia, will play matches between 21. and 25. October in Krievci, Beltinci, Kidrièevo and Murska Sobota. The best two teams in the group will continue qualifications for European Championship.
