Engelwood Neighborhood Center Engelwood Neighborhood Center's Junior Magic Program is a developmental & instructional league that teaches the fundamentals and the fun of basketball. Junior Magic Basketball: November – March, Ages – 9 and Under, 11 and Under, 13 and Under, 15 and Under – Basketball program run in correlation with the City of Orlando’s Athletic Department; This coed league is a league to help better the participant’s skill in basketball as well as provide an enjoyable team experience; Youth are evaluated then placed on a team; All teams are put together with the hopes of creating equal level of skilled and unskilled players on each team to make the league competitive, yet fun; Cost – $31 per participant (includes Jersey). Registration begins 30 days prior to season start. Engelwood Park is comprised of 6.8 acres surrounded by the Engelwood neighborhood on the east side of Orlando. The park is home to a beautiful wetland plant community featuring Bald Cypress and Red Maple trees and is mostly shaded. Playground and tot lot play equipment, as well as many seating opportunities are available in the park. Picnic tables with nearby grills make family picnics easy and comfortable. |
