2008 Season Highlights
April 5, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U races out to a 2 -1 tournament record and a share of 2nd Place in the rain-shortened April Eye Opener in Federal Way.
April 27, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U weathers tough competition and mistakes of their own to open the weekend in the NSA Bulldog Invitational to play their best ball of the season as a team on Sunday, capturing the Silver Championship against a hard hitting Slammers team from Olympia.
May 4, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U goes undefeated in pool play in the Sidewinder Invitational, outlasting a very well-coached White Rock Renegades team, beating the always resilent Seattle Fastpitch Club Adrenaline, and coming out on top against the very tough defending state Champion Patriots team from Everett. The SI girls ran into a buzz saw the next morning against a very good Victoria Devils 95 team to eliminate them from contention in this biggest tournament of the year thus far.
May 5, 2008: Sudden Impact '99 debuts in 10U ball in FWGFA, playing outstanding defense for their first time out as a team.
May - June 2008: Sudden Impact 12U continues to develop it's skills and grow as a team by playing in two more tournaments throughout the month of May. Sudden Impact '99 has an immensely successfully FWGFA season by playing very competitively against the 10U and 8U teams. Both teams get better each time they hit the dirt.
June 8, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U registers a couple of thrilling victories to end up 4th at ASA SeaTac Metros.
June 22, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U goes undefeated in Bracket Play to capture the ASA Chehalis Tournament Championship. Sudden Impact beat the Castle Rock Rebels 10 - 7, overcame a late game deficit against the always competitive Chehalis Shock to win 11 - 8, and beat the hard hitting Kelso Krushers in the Championship 9 - 7.
June - July: Sudden Impact 12U continues its winning ways and posts a 15 - 4 record down the stretch to close out the latter part of the season.
July 20, 2008: Sudden Impact 12U posts a 5 - 0 record to capture the Gold Medal at the ASA Washington State Games.
