The team Knowen as Simi Seals has been retired for the time being
The team Simi Seals Youth Water Polo has been disbanded for the time being and many of the players have joined the new Local Program Called "Ventura County Premier". The program can be found by calling the Rancho Simi Recreation & Park District at (805) 584-4400. Ask for the coah to call you his name is Hank Torring. Good luck to all of the Youth and past players of the Simi Seals Youth Water Polo Program. As many of you know I have stepted down as your coach to retun to School. Thank you all for your support and the 14 years in being your coach.
What is Water Polo Like?
Water Polo is basically a mix between soccer and basketball in the water. There are two teams, and each team has six field palyers players and a goalie. From a book about water polo: "Field Players may only use one hand to touch the ball, goalies may use two. Only goalies may use the bottom of the pool when participating in the play. FIELD OF PLAY: The game is played in a pool anywhere from 25 yards long, 14 yards wide, to 30 meters long, 20 meters wide, with a goal situated at each end of the pool. The depth of the pool may vary, with most facilities having a shallow end and a deep end. However, optimal conditions require an all-deep pool."
