Silverton Youth Basketball Association: Welcome

Welcome to the Silverton Youth Basketball Association ('SYBA')!

SYBA offers a competitive youth basketball program open to boys and girls entering 4th-8th grade.

SYBA also offers a recreational youth basketball program ('MVP League') for boys and girls

entering 3rd - 6th grade. Participants and members must reside within the boundaries of

or attend either Silver Falls or Mt. Angel district schools.

Mission

 The purpose of SYBA shall be to promote competitive youth basketball in a fun and

learning environment that emphasizes the importance of hard work, discipline, respect,

teamwork, and skill development by competing at a level that best prepares

participants for high school varsity-level basketball.

Program Objectives

Develop each player's fundamental basketball skills, sportsmanship, and character.

Provide each player with an athletically challenging and developmentally rewarding

experience as a member of a well-organized and coached team. Provide players with

the opportunity to test their skills at a competitive level through tournament basketball.
