District Roster and Information
The following players will make up the 2009 Scott HS Boys Soccer Tournament Roster for the rest of the season.  These players should already know who they are but we all know that communication is sometimes not the way we would like it to be.
These players are expected to be at every practice, game and team function that we have the rest of the season.  On game nights I will only dress 18-19 field players plus 3 keepers which leaves a handful of players inactive for the actual game.  The players have had this explained to them but again communication is priceless.  The players that are inactive will still be required to travel with the team but will not be allowed to warm up or be in uniform for the game.  They are allowed to be on the bench with the team during the game and  I will make sure that all players know what their status is the night before each one of our remaining games so their is no confusion.
If there are any questions please feel free to contact me.

October 15th Update:

Scott Soccer Players and Parents,

Please read all that is below:
Congratulations to the Varsity Team for a big win last night for the Scott Boys Soccer Program as they came out and took care of business against Simon Kenton with a 5 -0 win.  This win automatically places the varsity team into next week's Regional Tournament for the first time since 2006.  This Friday night the varsity plays in the District Tournament Finals against Villa Madonna at 8 PM at Dixie HS so please come out and cheer them on to victory.
  • All varsity players have practice tonight at the high school field from 6 - 7 PM and at the end of practice the players will be informed as to when the bus will be leaving to go to the game on Friday.
  • Please be advised that the Boys Soccer Program along with the Girls Soccer program will be hosting the haunted trail on October 23rd and 24Th at Pride Park as a fundraiser.  We are going to need all the boys and parents to pull this thing off and make it a success.  We will need help with preparing scenes for the Haunted Trail prior to the 23rd and then we will also need as much help as possible on the 23rd with getting everything set-up.
  • Now with the Varsity Team earning themselves a spot in next week's Regional Tournament with an impressive 5 -0 win last night that means that very possibly all of those players and parents will be at a soccer game on these nights so I am asking for as much help from them prior to the 23rd with preparing scenes and then for as many of the other players and parents to help with the set-up and the actual Trail on the 23rd and the 24Th.
  • Please contact Charlotte Allender (charlotte.b.allender@irs.gov) and or Laura Batson (batsonfam@zoomtown.com) and let them know what and when you can help with this event.
Thank you for what has been and continues to be a great season.

Handout: JV Regional Tournament

From The Coach's Desk....
All,

Please be advised that the President's Cup Freshman game on 9/18/1009 at 7:30 PM at Scott HS will also be the first round game of the 2009 Freshman Regional Tournament that is going on that same weekend.

Please see the attached document for the updated game times and information so that everyone can make arrangements for the games.  I know that this causes conflicts with the Presidents Cup games on Saturday but I unfortunately did not get to take care of our schedule this year.  I have asked to see if we could get the 2nd game moved to an earlier time but since Town & Country has been rented out already the game times have to stay as scheduled.

Thanks and Go Eagles last night was a great three game sweep!!!

Please take note, I have made the following decisions as the coach of this soccer team.

For any away game that we have on any level (Freshman, JV & Varsity) that is more then 45 minutes away (Bus Travel Time) from Scott HS all players are required to take the bus to and from that away game. I will grant leave from the bus ride home for players only in emergency matters or in the event that a request is made to me in writing/email from you the parent, no less then 48 hours before the away game and I decide that the reason is an acceptable one. I understand that everyone signed and turned in a Transportation form but I feel as if this is a needed change that will help in many aspects of developing a more TEAM atmosphere.

Starting on Monday, 8/17/2009 all Scott HS Boys Soccer Practices are closed to spectators from being inside the fence that surrounds the soccer field.  The only time the Soccer Facility will be open to people other then coaches and players is for meetings, field maintenance work or by a coach invite.
Also, if your son(s) have not told you yet, no player or parent is to enter the field or park on the shed side of the Soccer Facility.  All players and parents need to use the designated parking lot for drop offs and pick ups.  Only the coaching staff is to use the shed side of the Soccer Facility for parking and to enter the Soccer Facility. I have discussed these issues with Ken Mueller and he has given me the okay to do this.
My reasons for these decisions are many but the main one is to start having some much needed structure from the coaching staff instilled into the Scott HS Boys Soccer Program.  The future both near and far for the Scott HS Boys Soccer Program is very bright but there are some things missing that the coaching will keep implementing over time that will benefit us all especially the players.
Any questions, concerns or comments please feel free to let me know.

Team / Player Rules
Handout: Team/Player Rules

Tuesday, August 4
Soccer is well on it's way, we are only two weeks away from the start of the Regular Season.  The players are working very hard for the coaching staff and we are pleased with the overall progress we are seeing. The rosters are starting to become clear and will be posted on the team website in a week or so.
Please make sure that any and all paperwork, sponsorship money, spirit wear forms or etc. is given directly to me by your son or you after any training session.  Starting tonight (8/4/2009) the coaching staff will not be available to speak to any parent before or during training or games.  If you need to speak to myself or any of the coaches please do so after we are finished with training or games.  If it is something that can be handled via email please send me an email and I will respond as soon as possible.
