HEAT'N IT UP AT JUNIOR OLYMPICS!!!
After 13 NCAA regulation time and ruled games in 6 days, the Heat fought their way to the top to the Championship game at the AAU Junior Olympic event on Monday, Aug 2nd against the Indiana's Finest. The Heat who had won their way back from an earlier defeat by the Kansas Belles, came back to not only beat the Kansas Belles and send them home, they also met and defeated, Team North Carolina - 3 time returning AAU Junior Olympic Champs, the Dominos, seeded 2nd in the event, numerous time AAU Champions, The local Mo-valley Phantoms twice to keep them out of the Final Four, and many other great and well respected National Teams. The Sho-me Heat even beat the only undefeated team in the Event = the Indiana's Finest in the Championship game. But due to the fact that this was a double elimination bracket, and the Finest first loss, the Heat had to play them again two hours later,(for the 3rd game of the day). The Finest overcame the first loss, and beat the Heat by 9 in the Final.
