MORNING TRAINING SESSION (coaches & managers of players 9-13 yrs)

Learn how to teach the fundamental skills of the game and plan fun and effective practices. Experience Big Al`s “Teach it- Try it- Game it” approach! Season full of drills, games and fun activities for your players. Training targeted at baseball and softball coaches, managers and parents.

8:00 – 8:30 Registration and Introductions

8:30 – 12:30 Hands on Training Session

AFTERNOON TRAINING SESSION (coaches & parents of players 5-8 yrs)

Learn how to introduce the skills of the game in a creative, fun and effective way. Experience Big Al`s complete practice planning approach that your players and their parents will love. Training targeted at coaches, managers and parents “rookies” and “veterans”.

12:30 – 1:00 Registration and Introductions

1:00 – 4:30 Hands on Training Session

COACHES and MANAGERS from other LEAGUES & DISTRICTS WELCOME!

Leagues from outside of WA D7 please pre-register online with Big Al at www.bigalbaseball.com/clinics and send all of your coaches to the sessions.

BEFORE YOU BUY A BAT:IMPORTANT- If you are planning to buy a Baseball Bat for your player it is important to follow the rules and guidelines for Little League Baseball Bats. If a bat does not fall within the approved guidelines it may not be used for any SHN sanctioned activities including practices and games. Many parents have inquired as to what is legal and with the holidays quickly approaching here is some information to help you as you shop. For comprehensive information please visit the National Little League website for more detail at www.littleleague.org, and/or click on the following link for specific information regarding legal bats.

Quick summary of Rule 1.10 regarding baseball bats:

Rule 1.10 - Baseball - The bat must be a baseball bat which meets Little League specifications and standards as noted in this rule. It shall be a smooth, rounded stick and made of wood or of material and color tested and proved acceptable to Little League standards.

Little League (Majors) and below: it shall not be more than thirty-three (33) inches in length nor more than two and one-quarter (2¼) inches in diameter. Non-wood bats shall be labeled with a BPF (bat performance factor) of 1.15 or less; EXCEPTION: For the 2011-2012 Little League (Majors) and A list of approved and licensed composite bats can be found on the Little League website at www.littleleague.org.

AGE AND RESIDENCY VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Please provide an Original Birth Certificate

and three approved pieces of "proof of residence" at walk-in registration.  

Little League International adheres to strict guidelines for age and residency.

These are MANDATORY for all divisions.

Violation ofthese guidelines could result in forfeiture of our All-Star program.

IMPORTANT NEWS:
LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES
MORATORIUM ON COMPOSITE BATS.
On Dec. 30, 2010, Little League International announced it had expanded its
moratorium on the use of composite bats to all of its baseball divisions,
including the Little League (Majors) division, effective immediately.
