Here's a highlight from the 2007 archives, of the Boys 4x800m, when they won the Stanford Invitational, and ran the fastest time in the State, up to that date. The team was Spencer Christy, Jamall Jerry, Mitchell Milligan, and anchored by Jeremiah Irving's 1:54.2 800m. This video isn't focused on Sheldon, but you'll see alot of us, until Mitchell and Jeremiah pull away from everyone.

**RECENT XC NEWS: Beginning in 2010, Varsity XC will qualify 10 teams to the Section Championships, and F/S will qualify 6 teams. JV will remain the same at 6 teams.
**XC NEWS: Breanna Lewis continued her outstanding Cross Country season by taking 5th place in the National Junior Olympic Championships in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, December 12th, helping the Buffalo Babes team take 1st place.

**11/28/09 State Meet Results- Breanna Lewis came down with a virus 2 days before the State Meet, and still ran a 19:08. Philip Satow ran a 16:45 at the State Meet, for #6 in our Record Book, taking 31 seconds off his previous PR on the same course.
**SECTION CHAMPIONSHIPS**
**Breanna Lewis takes 2nd place **State Meet Qualifier**
**Philip Satow takes 12th place **State Meet Qualifier**
For those of you who weren't at the Section Championships, here's how it went down:
In the Varsity Girls race, Senior, Breanna Lewis narrowly missed winning the Division 1 Section Championships, by one second, when Oak Ridge’s Haley Scott, got to the finish line one step ahead of her. Bre set a torrid pace in the Varsity Girls race, causing most runners to drop back when they couldn’t keep up with her. After the first mile, it became only a 3 person race, between Bre, Haley and a Grace Davis runner. Bre led most of the way, before Haley passed her about ¼ of a mile before the finish line. Bre made an attempt to re-take the lead near the finish line, only to come up 1 step short. With her 2nd place finish, Bre qualified for the State Cross Country Meet for her 2nd consecutive year. Her outstanding time of 19:03, was the third fastest time of the day, in all five divisional races, and broke her own School Record by 20 seconds.
In the Varsity Boys race, Junior, Philip Satow knew he had to finish in the top 12 to qualify for the State Meet. When the race started, Philip went out at a much faster pace than he’s use to, and found himself in 16th place just before the mile mark. After about 1 ½ miles Philip had slipped back to 19th place. He held steady for awhile, before regrouping himself, and in the last mile of the race, Philip began working his way past some of the finest runners in the Sac-Joaquin Section, to finish in 12th place overall, and qualify for the State Meet. Philip ran the 5k course in 16:57, a personal record for him.

2008 Cross Country
**11/29/08 - Breanna Lewis places 88th, and breaks our School Record at the State Meet. Breanna ran the State Meet course in 19:23, taking 10 seconds off the previous Record.
**11/15/08 - Breanna Lewis **State Meet Qualifier**
Breanna is our 2nd female runner in Sheldon history to qualify for the State Meet - to be held on Saturday, November 29th.
(our 1st female qualifier was Kirsten Yee in 2002).
