Lady Golden Bears open the season with a 61-34 loss to Greensburg
The Lady Golden Bears opened thier season on the road at Greensburg Tuesday night with a big loss. Greensburg led from start to finish leading 14-8 after one, 36-14 at halftime, 52-25 after three, the final read 61-34. The Lady bears was led in scoring by: Catlin Mills 10, Chelsey Skipton 9, Eryn Hopper 8, Chelsea Weaver, Jenna Hebbe, & Ashley Martin 2 apiece, & Chelsee Simerly 1. Greensburg was led in scoring by: Melanie Trammell 22. The JV lost 22-20. The lady Golden Bears new head coach will be looking for her first win Saturday afternoon when the Lady Golden Bears plays it's home opener against Columbus North JV tipoff is at 12 noon & the varsity tipoff is at 1:30 PM. Shelbyville Lady Bears lose home opener
The lady golden bears lost there home opener saturday afternoon at William L. Garrett Gymnausium to Columbus North 57-36 Jordan Wise & Ashley Bush who had to set out the season opener against Greensburg Tuesday. The bears showed some bright spots Saturday in the loss satuday they are showing improvment they were outscored in the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd period but came alive in the final stanza outscoring Columbus North 15-12. The bears was led in scoring by: Eryn Hopper 11, Chelsea Weaver 9, Chelslee Simerly & Natasha Palmer 4 apiece, Catlin Mills & Ashley Bush 3 apiece, & Chelsey Skipton 2. Columbus North was led in scoring by: Jocelyn Hamilton 11, & Rebecca Brougher 10.The JV lost 54-19. The lady bears open Hoosier Heritage Conference play against Pendleton Heights next Saturday at Garrett Gymnausium JV tip at 12 noon & varsity tip at 1:30 PM. Columbus North shot nearly 60 percent from the field inthe first half then held a peskey Shelbyville squard at bay over the final 16 minutes for a 57-36 win Saturday afternoon at William L. Garrett Gymnausium in Shelbyville.

Lady Golden Bears lose To Pendleton Heights 38-34
The lady golden bears are making progress they play thier best game of the season thus far after Pendleton Heights made the first two points then the lady bears scored 7 points to take a 7-2 lead thier first lead of the season Pendleton rallied back to lead after one 9-7 The bears outscored Pendleton Heights 8-7 to cut the lead to one 16-15 at halftime, the bears took control of the third period outscoring Pendleton Heights 11-9 to take the lead going to the fourth period 26-25, The bears were outscored 13-8 in the final stanza to win the game38-34 The bears didn ot commit the unnecesasary fouls play great defense they kept thier eyes focus A well played game come out and back the girls they are fun to watch. The bears was led in scoring by: Chelsea Weaver 9, Eryn Hopper, &Caitlin Mills 8 apiece, Ashley Bush, & Chelsey Skipton 3 apiece, & Chelsee Simerly 2. Pendleton was led in scoring by: Hannah Douglas 11. The Bears are (0-3 overall & 0-1 in HHC play). The lady bears are in action next Tuesday when they take on Greenfield- Central another HHC game.

Lady Golden Bears still looking for first win
The lady golden bears lost to greenfield-central tuesday night 72-38 that moves th lady bears record to (0-4 overall & 0-2 in HHC play). The lady bears took a lead at 4-3 after that greenfield-central went on a 19-1 run to lead after one 22-5 increased the lead to 42-18 at halftime the lead bloomed to 30 56-26 after three both team played nearly eveven in the final eight minutes. The bears was led in scoring by: Chelsea Weaver11, & Chelsey Skipton 8. Greenfield-Central was led in scoring by: Kelsey Bryant 20, Cierra Hall 12, Kyra Tweedy 11, & Kristen Uuk 10. The Lady Golden Bears will be back in action Thursday Night when they host Yorktown an important HHC contest JV tip is at 6 PM. & Varsity tip is at 7:30 PM.

GREENFIELD — For a minute and a half, it appeared as if Shelbyville would surprise Greenfield-Central as Natasha Palmer drilled a basket to put the visiting Lady Golden Bears ahead 4-3.

The Lady Bears fall to (0-5 overall & 0-2 in HHC play) after losing to Yorktown 51-35 Thursday night at Garrett Gymnausium. The bears was led in scoring by: Chelsey Skipton 9, Jordan Wise 6, Caitlin Mills, & Chelsea Weaver 5 apiece, Ashley Bush, & Eryn Hopper 4 apiece, & Natasha Palmer 2. Yorktown was led in scoring by: Jill Hopper 23. The bears is in action again Saturday afternoon when they travel to take on Batesville JV tip is at 12 noon & varsity tip is at 1:30 PM.
