The Shelbyville Lady Bears win thier first game of the season
The Lady Bears won thier first game of the year over Morristown Tuesday Night at Garrett Gymnausium 54-38.The bears led at all stops 14-10 after one The bears outscored Morristown 19-14 to increase thier lead to 9 33-24 at halftime, They played even in the third it was 42-33 going to the final period. The bears outscored Morristown 12-5 in the fourth to make the final score 54-38 the bears had a 20 point lead with 6:00 minutes left in the fourth. The JV won thier first game of the season as well over Knightstown 34-23. Congradulations go out to Amanda Norris & the Lady Golden Bears for winning thier first game of the year. The bears was lead in scoring by: Eryn Hooper 12, Chelsea Weaver 11, Chelsey Skipton 9, Ashley Bush, & Chelsee Simerly 7 apiece, Caitlin Mills 6, & Natasha Palmer 2. Morristown was lead in scoring by: Lindsey Reed 12, & Kaylin Carlton 9. Chelsea Weaver was named player of the game she had 10 rebounds & 4 assist. The Bears are back in action Saturday when #7 Waldron comes to Garrett Gymnausium JV tip is at 11:30 AM. Varsity tip is at 1 PM.

Teams learn fate in girls' hoops draw
Shelbyville and Triton Central each drew byes into the semifinals of the sectional round of the IHSAA Girls’ Basketball State Tournament. Waldron, Morristown and Southwestern have the longer road to sectional glory.

Lady Bears bow out of the Shelbyville sectional
The Lady Golden Bears finish the season with a record of (1-20) after losing to Hamilton Heights 65-54 Friday night in the second semi-final game of the Shelbyville sectional. The bears was led in scoring by: Chelsea Weaver 16, Ashley Bush & Eryn Hopper 9 apiece, Caitlin Mills 8, Natasha Palmer 6, Chelsey Skipton 4, & Chelsee Simerly 2. Hamilton Heights was led in scoring by: Jessica Carr 19,Libby Ogden 16, & Maddie Herr 9. The head webmaster & camereaman Retired after 10 years with the team good luck next year girls.
