In 2009, Shelburne Little League partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance to provide our players, coaches and parents the most positive learning experience possible through Little League Baseball and Softball. In 1998 Executive Director Jim Thompson founded PCA as a non-profit within the Stanford University Athletic Department and has helped create a positive, character-building youth sports environment for more than 3 million youth athletes.
Shelburne Little League has adopted PCA’s “Seal of Commitment” The seal assures parents that any of their children's coaches in that organization is committed to the first goal of winning and the second, more-important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.
Each Shelburne coach will take the Online Double Goal Coach Course with the intent of supporting our coaches with character building skills along with the technical skills required to play baseball and softball.
