Party on the mountain
Tuesday, June 16
Coach Rohall has made the commitment to get into shape this summer along with the players. As a result, he has been and will be running on the treadmill through the spring and summer. Each week, he will record his total mileage on the tab on the left captioned "Keeping up with the Coach."
This Week (6/29-7/4) Coach's total was 18.5 miles. Coach's total miles since April 26th is 134.72 miles!
See if you can make a greater commitment than Coach.

The results of the recent mile run show good progress for many players. Jill Lampe (Freshman) pushed her time down even further and now leads the group with a 5:56 mile. Four (4) other players (Cusick, Ludwick, Green and Malinchak) ran miles under 6:30. Fifteen (15) other players ran miles under 7:00. Therefore, we have 20 players under 7:00. These results are good considering there is still six (6) weeks left to train.
It will be interesting to see how many players that are not under 6:30 are able to get there by Pre-Season and how many players over 7:00 can get into the under 7:00 Club by Pre-Season.

We just learned from Penn State that we can add players to our group that is going to the overnight camp at the University. If you are interested, please send Coach Rohall an E-Mail. This is going to be a very strong camp, as the other High School teams that are attending are of a high caliber. The dates for the Camp are July 29 to August 1.

All players MUST drink plenty of water each day to make sure they are well hydrated for their conditioning work. In addition, all players should not wait until August before they begin hydrating for Pre-Season ---- start TODAY making sure you have enough water each day. If you do not, you are risking getting hurt during Pre-Season. Pre-Season this year will be very difficult and you need to have your nutrition in order (begin eating well each day) and your hydration at a level where you will be able to compete for a position on one of the teams. No player gets a "free pass."
Monday, June 1
Each Tuesday and Thursday night during July from 6-8PM, the Lower Oakbourne Field in West Chester will be available for "Free Play." The "Free Play" is opened to you, your friends as well as Coach Rohall's Club players and friends. The idea is that each night the players that attend will decide what the soccer training will be that night. A good place to get some of your conditioning in and get additional "touches" on the ball.
If you want to attend, you must BRING A PUMPED UP BALL, and if you are not a travel player in West Chester United, you must download the West Chester United Medical Release Form, have it signed by your parent and present it to Coach Rohall before training with the group.
The "Link" for the Medical Release Form can be found on the "Links" tab (link #13) on this website
The "Link" for the directions to Lower Oakbourne Field can be found on the "Links" tab (link #14) on this website
"You can do anything you want to. . . if what you want to do is what you ought to do"
Think to yourself - "if not me, who? If not now, when?"
There is nothing wrong not being the best . . . as long as you are always trying your best!
