COACHING CLINIC

A special thanks goes to head baseball head coach Steven Biera for helping us this year with our 2012 coaches clinic.  Those in attendance learned many valuable baseball drills to help their team be successful.  Thanks again Coach!

Composite Bats

During the year Little League International passed a rule that composite bats could not be used at any level of little league competition.  The bats are normally checked before each game, and bats will not be allowed if they are composite, or say "composite" on any part of the bat.  Please check the links to the side, and go to Little League's website for more information.

A waiver must be obtained from Little League if a child wants to use a composite bat.  From our understanding, these types of situations will be very limited.  Shallowater Little League's board of directors has decided that waiver's must be obtained on your own.  If you want to request a waiver, contact Little League International directly.

However, Shallowater Little League, will stand behind the decision of Little League International and will enforce those rules at our local level.

Website Access

Just a friendly reminder about website access.  If you have been a member of the website before your information is saved, however, if you are kid is on a new team, you will probably not have access to the "team" site.

Each coach has the ability to set up a team site.  From the team site, you can view rosters, practice schedules, statistic etc.  This is at the coaches option.  In other words, the league does not keep stats on each kid, however, the coach has the option to do this within their own sub-website.  Some coaches choose not to do this.

If the coach has set up a team website, the coach will be the administrator of that site.  If you click on the send a message to the admin within the team site, that email will go to the coach.  The coach can then grant you access to view statistics or whatever.

Everyone, if a member, has the right to view game schedules, standings and rosters.

Hope this helps....
