Thursday, August 28 High School Volleyball Registration Information We are currently accepting registration for High School Volleyball. Fill out the 2008 Volleyball Registration Form included in the handout below and submit it to the address listed on the form. LATE FEES DO NOT APPLY TO HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL. Contact the Volleyball Lay-Director, Eileen Doherty if you have any questions. Handout: Player Registration Forms Wednesday, August 27 Basketball registration information Registration for the 2009 Basketball season will be now through October 6. The registration forms are available here through the handouts section of the website. Registrations will be accepted after all masses in the church hall on September 7 and 14. You may also mail in your form anytime before October 6 to the address listed on the form. Handout: Player Registration Forms Friday, May 16 Tom Connelly Service Award Presented Congratulations to Tom Connelly, the first recipient of the "Tom Connelly Service Award". Tom was presented this award during Mass at the parish festival and carnival on Saturday. His service and committment to Sacred Heart through the Athletic Association has been a great example to all of us. Thanks to Tom for making the Sacred Heart Athletic programs the best in the South-Central District and CYC as a whole. "Protecting God's Children" Child Abuse Workshops All adult volunteers and employees working with children MUST attend one of these workshops. This includes all coaches, assistant coaches, umpires, officials, and parent helpers for all sports and parish activities.
Pre-registration is required, call Denise Davis in the Parish Office for details and class times. If you can't attend one of the Sacred Heart sessions, you may attend any other parish's session, which are listed on the Archdiocese' website. Mandatory CYC Coaches' training program ALL CYC team managers must have completed a training program provided by CYC central prior to the sports season. A new coach's ID card will be issued after successful completion of the program. Assistant coaches need either this card or the old CYC picture ID. CYC Central sessions are at CYC headquarters (Fleur de Lis Room, 20 Archbishop May Dr., Shrewsbury) Follow the link for more information and other parish sessions.
