As of August 2008, the 2007-2008 Cobras Black 13U team has disbanded. Many of our players will begin playing HS baseball in the fall and it was just not possible to keep the team going with HS starting up. The team had a great run with very successful 12U Major and 13U Major seasons winning 60+ games for 2 straight years. In their final tournament together, the boys played up and won the 14U Glendale 4th of July tournament which was a nice way to end a great year. Good luck to our HS guys as they start a new chapter in their lives and good luck to our 8th graders as they continue to prepare for playing at the HS level. Thanks to the Cobras experience, all of our boys are well prepared for HS ball. It has been 5 years, but seems like just yesterday that we started as 9-10 Cobras. All of our players, coaches and parents take with them many great memories from the past 5 years with trips to places like Cooperstown, NY, Steamboat Springs, CO, Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV. Cobras Black played in 13 Major Division tournaments during the 2007-2008 year, the team made the finals 7 times winning 4 Championships, 3 time Runner-Up and also 2 3rd Place finishes. They added a 14U championship to that by winning the final tournament of their 13U year on the 4th of July.

Based in the greater Los Angeles area, the SGV Cobras Black is a competitive travel baseball team. Our players come from all over the San Gabriel Valley area. After a successful 2006-2007 12U season which ended with a trip to Cooperstown, NY where the team finished Runner-Up to the OC Hawks, the team had a very successful 2007-2008 13U year. The team competed in USSSA and Triple Crown Major/D1 level tournaments. In addition to their tournament success, the team also finished the 2007 California Competitive Baseball League's Fall season with a 10-1 record in the 13U division. Then, in the fall season and in order to help prepare our boys for HS, the team played up an age in the CCYB Spring league's 14U division. The team finished that 14U spring season with a 9-2 record and made the playoffs.
