Brandon Liu is expected to be the first pick despite missing the tryout.

Try outs for the upcoming first ever ONG&ONG Basketball League was a huge success. A total of 38 players signed up for the tryout hoping to be drafted by one of the 4 teams in the competition.

The League Commissioner, Mr. Anthony Gaza deviced a systematic approach to aid the team managers in making informed decisions. Teams were formed to play a game of a race to 20 points. Each player was allowed to play at least two games. Statistics such as points, rebounds, assists, steals, block, and turn over were noted down by the committee.

Fan favorites Ronnie Lucena, Kervin Cabael and Ryan Manaloto did not disappoint. At one point, Ryan and Kervin were trying to outdo each other in a friendly but competitive match up. Hot prospects MJ Torres and Andrew Carino also delivered, much to the delight of the team managers who were keenly observing the games.

Altough SCA Director, Brandon Liu, had to miss the try out because of official business, he is still expected to be the first pick in the draft.

The OOBL Draft Pick will be held this Friday evening at the ONG&ONG Staff Lounge, at SLF Building, Thomson Road.
