SF Lady Lions Recreation Basketball Disciplinary Process
DISCIPLINARY PROCESS 2007-2008
- The Disciplinary process review board to be administered by the League Officers: Chairman, In-house, Travel Commissioner and Treasurer with insight/input from the South Fayette High School Girls Basketball Coach.
- All participants within the league will have an avenue to voice concerns, issues, problems within the League related to participants’ behavior that is deemed to be detrimental to the League. The League Officers will fairly and objectively review complaints and insure this is done in a confidential manner. Behavior that is deemed to be detrimental includes and is not exhaustive to the following:
- Coaches frequently canceling practices and missing games.
- Lack of correspondence/communication from coaches to players.
- Use of profanity.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct not limited to: lack of respect shown to referees, coaches, opponents, players and families.
- Intra-team conflict
- Parents conduct
- Breach of conduct with signed coach’s application.
- Adherence to gymnasium protocol.
- A complaint can be communicated verbally, however a written notice sent to the League Officers is strongly encouraged to help insure the issue is clearly understood and that the complaint is to be taken seriously.
- The following three step procedure will apply:
- The participant must present complaint to League Officers within five days of alleged incident.
- League Officers will investigate alleged incident within ten days of receipt of complaint.
- League Officers will respond to all appropriate parties involved in a written format within five days after the completion of the investigation. The written response from League Officers will include reason for its decision.
