League PhilosophyThe philosophy of the SF Lady Lions recreation basketball program is to provide wholesome, healthy, and enjoyable activities. The emphasis of the program is to create a recreational environment in which participants can have fun and can enjoy the experience of a team sport. The girls are treated with respect and allowed the opportunity to interact with others; learn teamwork and sportsmanship; and strive to become a more self-confident individual while still having fun. All spectators are expected to show the same respect and consideration to the opposing team as they would want their team to receive. Players, coaches and spectators are expected:
- to emphasize the proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and fair play;
- to respect the integrity and judgment of sports officials; and
- to show cordial courtesy between visitors and hosts.
Profanity will not be tolerated.
