<span style="font-size: 9.5pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">Softball has been a tradition for young ladies in Santa Fe for more than 30 years. <span>&nbsp;</span>Over 200 </span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">young ladies played on 19 teams in 2008 and we hope they will bring their friends in to play and help the league continue to grow.<span>&nbsp; </span>As our league grows, we want to stay focused and dedicated to providing a positive, family oriented and friendly atmosphere where our young ladies can learn &ldquo;life lessons&rdquo; and develop positive character traits.</span> 
</p>

<span style="font-size: 9.5pt">The Board of Directors will do our best to provide the basic structure to run the league and we are committed to providing a safe environment for your child so that she can play and learn safely with her friends. <span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt">In order to do this </span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt">we rely on the efforts of our volunteers.<span>&nbsp; </span>SFGSL would not exist without its many volunteers!!<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt">&nbsp;</span>

<span style="font-size: 9.5pt">In 2009, we&rsquo;ll need about 150 adult volunteers to run a program that benefits hundreds of young ladies.<span>&nbsp; </span>What a great opportunity to spend time with your child and show her how your values are translated into action.<span>&nbsp; </span>Your volunteer time does not have to be a full time commitment.<span>&nbsp; </span>It can be as simple as being a scorekeeper, team parent or shagging balls during practice.<span>&nbsp; </span>Offer to coach and be more involved with your child and team!</span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">Feel free to contact any of the SFGSL Board Members with comments or concerns.<span>&nbsp; </span>We look forward to another phenomenal year of softball.</span><span style="font-size: 9.5pt; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'">&nbsp;</span>
