Congratulations South Farmington Blues winning the Michigan Major Elite NIT !!!

The U14 South Farmington Blues for the first time played in the Michigan Major Elite torunament held in Monroe/Flatrock.  The Blues went 3-1 in pool play losing to the Rawlings A's in extra innings. The Blues entered the championship bracket as the 4th seed. The Blues defeated the NFWB Cobras and the Illinois Sparks to make it to the semi-finals gave vs the "Up To Bat Titians." The Titans maximized their chances and went up 12-5 on the Blues. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Blues scored 8 runs to advance into the finals. This was a game all Blues supporters will remember. The Blues played the Cinci Flames in the finals beating a very good team 6-4. Every team the Blues played showed class, and good sportsmanship, it was a well run tournament with some of the best fields we have ever played on . Thanks to all and  Congratulations Blues!!!

We would like to welcome the latest additions to the U14 Blues:  Randy Kuzdak, Jake Lowery, Mitchell Ryan and Sterling Sharp. The returning Blues players are Carmen Benedetti, Sal Cipriano, Jason Gluck, Bobby Lett, Nick Malzone, Conner Mohr, Alex Peczynski, Jonathon Perry,  Matt Stojkov, Harrison Wenson. We had a great year in 2008 and expect and even better year in 2009!

The Blues are a community-based team in our Sixth year together playing out of the Founders Sports Park in Farmington Hills, Michigan (Home games played on Diamond #7). The Blues Will play 50-60 game schedule including 6-8 tournaments. We remain committed to playing hard, playing fair, playing with respect for the game and our opponent, and having fun. We will teach our kids a love and respect for the game and its history. We will stress fundamentals. We will teach the nuances of the game as players gain the understanding. Our vision for the members of this team is for each player to be varsity-ready as a ninth grader.
