FUNDRAISING

The Cougars must raise a great deal of money to pay for activities, events, field maintenance, supplies, training, and new equipment for the upcoming football season. 
Several fundraising events are planned to help them reach their budget goals. 
A list of projects and contact information will be posted on this page of our website.

* * * * 2009 COUGAR FOOTBALL FUNDRAISING GOALS * * * *

FUNDRAISING GOAL AMOUNTS FOR THE 2009 FOOTBALL SEASON ARE: 

$500 (Plus Travel Fee) ~ Varsity Football Players

$400 (Plus Travel Fee) ~ JV Football Players

$300 ~ C Team Football Players

$300 (Plus Travel Fee) ~ Football Managers & Trainers 

These amounts can be easily met if you start fundraising early, and participate in the fundraising opportunities offered by the Cougar Gridiron Booster Club. 

Remember, there are additional expenses for each participant (not included in the fundraising goal amounts):

ASD Participation Fee $160 (Waivers are available)

Spirit Pack Fee (Jersey, T-Shirt, Shorts, etc.) ~ 2009 Amounts to be determined but typically $75 JV / C Team and $100 Varsity

Information was sent out to all members of the Cougar Football Program.  If you want to pick up a sales packet or purchase a Northern Lights Coupon Book, please contact Coach Caldarera or Wendy Stewart.

*MR. / MS. SERVICE COMPETITION

7:00 PM   Competition Begins
Parent & Student Volunteers Needed.  Cougar Football personnel will be responsible for set up, clean up, gates, and concessions.  A sign up sheet will be available soon.

 

 

*GOLDENVIEW PARK CLEAN UP

MEET NEAR GOLDENVIEW BRIDGE (Directions Below)
 The coordinator for this fundraising project is Natalie Smyre. Adult and student volunteers are needed.  We also need pickup trucks and trailers to haul debris. (DIRECTIONS: South on New Seward Highway to Rabbit Creek Road to Bridgeview Drive - Just below Goldenview Drive.  Turn right at the covered red bridge. All volunteers will meet there.) 

 

 

*COUGAR FOOTBALL YARD SALE
JUNE 2010 
7:00 AM SET UP
9:00 AM TO 3:30 PM YARD SALE
SERVICE HIGH PARKING LOT
Our Cougar Football Yard Sale will be organized similar to the Saturday Market.  Each family can set up a table or booth, sell items or services, collect payment, and clean up their area when the yard sale is over. Proceeds can be turned in to the Cougar Gridiron Booster Club and applied toward a member's 2010 Fundraising Goal. The more you sell, the less you will have to fundraise after football season begins.  Be sure to tell your family members, neighbors, and friends. (Additional details will be available on our "Home" Page).

 

*SPONSORSHIPS
All football players, managers, trainers, and family members are encouraged to contact local businesses to sign up sponsors for the upcoming football season.   Sponsorship Packets can be downloaded from our "handouts" page, picked up from Coach Caldarera, or e-mailed to you by sending an e-mail request to SHSCougarcrazy(at)gmail.com.
 

*DONATIONS
All football players, managers, trainers, and family members are encouraged to contact friends, neighbors, and relatives to obtain donations for the upcoming football season.  Donation packets can be downloaded from our "handouts" page, picked up from Coach Caldarera, or e-mailed to you by sending an e-mail request to SHSCougarcrazy(at)gmail.com.


*GAME PROGRAM
Each year, dedicated parents and volunteers create a wonderful game program booklet for the Service Cougar Football Team. The program is similar to a yearbook.  It makes a terrific keepsake for team members and their families. The book includes senior profiles, team photos, and information about our coaches, players, cheerleaders, managers, trainers, and sponsors.  Anyone can be a part of the Cougar Football Game Program by purchasing an advertisement or creating a Personal Player Page (details can be found on our home page).   Download the proper forms from our "Handouts" page (Game Program section) and submit them to the Cougar Gridiron Booster Club as soon as possible.


*COUGAR LIFT-A-THON
DATE & TIME TBA
Fundraising Project / Cougar football players will perform required lifts. Pledge sheets will be available for participants.  For more information contact Coach Eschenlohr.

The Cougars have a tremendous amount of work to do BEFORE their season kicks off.  They must raise money to cover equipment costs, supplies, training, camps, and miscellaneous other expenses.  Would you, or someone you know, like to help sponsor the Service Cougars?  If so, please download one (or more) of our Fundraising packets from our "Handouts" page.        

DONATIONS: Family members, friends, and fans can sponsor an individual athlete or make a donation to the Cougar Football Program. Send a letter and form to relatives and friends who live in Alaska or out-of-state. 

SPONSORSHIPS: The sponsorship letter and application contain all necessary information for business owners to become sponsors.  Download the sponsorship packet and game program ad specifications.

Special Note:  To avoid fraudulant use of our fundraising materials, you must sign up as an eteamz member to download Cougar Football fundraising packets.  There is no cost to become a member.  If you cannot access the fundraising packets, send an e-mail message to SHSCougarcrazy@gmail.com to request copies.  Packets are also available from Coach Caldarera or can be picked up at CGBC meetings.
