CENTRAL VALLEY SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION: Welcome
OVERVIEW SENIOR SLOWPITCH
First to introduce myself: I have played senior ball for the past 18 years and enjoy it a lot. I was the ASA Commissioner for the Fresno Metro for many years and have lots of experience in softball. When asked to take over the Central California Sr Program I took a few minutes and then answered yes. I asked that it be run by the players and not a select few who choose to rule for their personal gain. It is my hopes that we can start a rating systems of our own, use the rules that the palyers like and make it equal and fair for all. (Including women's teams)
The senior program is one of the fastest growing programs in softball right now and we should be able to provide a good quailtiy program that all would love to play in. In 2008 I ran a couple of SR. tournaments that went well, lost money but still went well. In 2009 I got more agressive and held 6 tournaments and had no problems filling them with teams from all over the state. This year (2016) we have expanded to 16 tournaments in Fresno & Morro Bay and am looking forward to have new teams play and enjoy the same respect and quality of ball that the team last year did.
So take the challenge and play one.
