2008 Regional - Game 6
WEST DEPTFORD, NJ – Brandon Palumbo and Garrett Peterson smacked home runs to lead a 16-hit attack as Du Bois, PA topped Brooklyn-Killingsly, CT, 16-0, in Saturday morning action at the 2008 Senior Little League Eastern Regional. Palumbo, who hit his two-run shot in the second, finished the day 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Peterson hit his two-run shot as part of a six-run third inning. Four Du Bois pitchers combined for the three-hit shutout as the Pennsylvania state champs moved to 13-0 overall in tournament action. Dante DeSantis, who pitched the first three innings for Du Bois, went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Brooklyn-Killingsly, which was the last team to qualify for the regional – winning its state tournament on Thursday night and having to travel to New Jersey on Friday afternoon, will face Suncook, NH at 12 noon on Sunday in an elimination bracket game. Du Bois will face the winner of the Naamans, DE-Wappinger, NY game Monday at 5 pm.
