Special Events & News:

Congratulations to Jason R. Hudson for achieving his 1st Dan, many years of hard work has made us all very proud of you. I have not seen anyone work as hard as you did for this rank, you deserve it.

Student Profile of the Month:

NAME :              Jason R. Hudson

RANK:               1st Dan

HOBBIES:

GOALS:            Leaving for the Air Force in September.

ACHIEVEMENTS: Honor Roll, Team Sen I Do        Demonstration Team,  Athlete

Quotes of the Month:

"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat, but in the perfection of the character of its participants."

"Your belt even if it is black does not hold you up; it is you that holds the belt up!"

"You will be amazed what you can learn from someone who is a lower rank than you!"

"Show respect to everyone, because you never know who you may meet."

"If instructing someone, hold no secret back, your goal should be to make a student who is better than yourself."

"When all else fails ..... Stop and think!"

"Trust your instincts! trust your training!"

"Remember, you train so that you do not have to fight!"

"A journey of a thousand miles always begins with a single step."

"Most all confrontations can be resolved or ended without ever throwing a single technique."

Did you know ......

"For every 10,000 students that join a karate class, half will drop out the first month. Of that 5,000 - half will remain through the second month. Of those remaining students, 1,000 will complete six months of training and then quit. Five hundred (500) will study for a year, but only 100 will see their second anniversary. Three (3) will make first degree black belt. But only one shall go on to teach others what they have learned, for karate is now part of their life and they shall go on to share this life with others.

This person is a SENSEI! - 1 in 10,000."

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Sen I Do to assist parents in developing the character of their children through exposure to the sport of martial arts. In keeping with such a goal, instruction and coaching has its primary objective of character development and not the winning or losing of individual games. In addition to developing the character of our athletes, the Sen I Do Karate Club will emphasize the proper appreciation of teamwork, conditioning, discipline, sportsmanship and fair play in a competitive setting. The Club will consistently strive to create an experience for young athletes that will affect them in a positive manner well beyond their playing days by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport in a responsible manner.
