Sellersville Belles Organization: Welcome
yes, you have found the website for the Sellersville Belles and the upcoming 2013-2014 season.
In 2014, the Sellersville Belles will be celebrating our 21st year of great softball! There are not many organizations who can boast 21 years of existence, let alone the quality of softball that the Belles represent. The 2013 Sellersville Belles Gold team brought the level of play and results as the team qualified and participated in the most prestigious ASA tournament in the country - ASA Gold Nationals in Clearwater Florida.
The Belles will continue to host tournaments as we have in the past. Remember, at Sellersville, we do tournaments right!! Just come and see for yourself.
In addition to our Gold team, we will have a 18U team that will play Class A division qualifiers this year. The focus for this team will continue to be mastering the fundamentals of this great game and playing the game "the way it is meant to be played." We set high standards for and have high expectations of each player who wears the Purple and Teal.
This website will connect you with the web pages of both individual teams. Those pages will give you more indepth information on each team, their roster, schedules, practices, etc. This site will also give you information about our tournament that the Sellersville Belles are famous for. Check those out.
Just remember, at Sellersville, we "Believe It To Achieve It!!"

... of softball in Sellersville! Yes, the 2013 season will mark 20 years of quality softball for the Sellersville Belles. We are posting try out dates so that players who want to be part of this organization can experience Belles Ball.
The 2012 season was a high mark for the Sellersville Belles organization. Two teams showed success as players developed and the Showcase Team under Jim Degnan qualified for ASA Class A 18U Nationals in Johnson City Tennessee, and the 18U team under coach Doug Taylor attended ASA 18U Eastern Nationals in Salem Virginia. The success that both teams experienced in our year with two 18U teams leads us to work toward that end in the upcoming 2013 season.
In all, the mission of the Sellersville Belles will remain to develop players as students of the game of fastpitch softball. Our focus will be developing softball skills and building a sense of roles as a member of a team, rather than focusing on wins and loses.
Our dates are as follows for all ages interested in becoming Sellersville Belles:
August 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26 from 6:00-8:30PM
August 18 & 25 from 9:00-11:30AM
Arrive 1/2 hour early to fill out paperwork.
All tryouts will take place at B. Earl Druckenmiller Park on Maple Ave. in Sellersville. We ask that you attend at least 2 of the tryouts. This years tryouts will prove to be crowded with players. Do not wait until the last two tryout dates to come and make your impression, because by then, it may be too late.

Organization by this terrible allegation. This afternoon, Eric Romig, Pennridge High School JV softball coach and the head coach of the Sellersville Belles Class A team, was arrested and jailed for allegedly being improperly involved with a JV softball player on the Pennridge High School JV softball team.
This terrible act has shaken not only the young lady involved and her family, but also the Pennridge community, and the Sellersville Belles Family. Eric Romig has been removed from his position as coach with the Belles and will not be reinstated in the future.
The Sellersville Belles Organization has been in existence for 21 seasons. We have helped hundreds of players develop not only as better softball players but as young ladies. Our coaching staff has always set high standards for our players and tried to set proper life examples in our personal conduct on the field at games, at practices, as well as off the field. Our coaching staff has always been set on one focus - set a good example, set high standards, and teach players to always do what is right and give all that they have.
At Sellersville, we have always stressed that when you come to Sellersville, you come because of everything that is the Sellersville Belles. Players do not come here for a particular coach, or because we play in a particular tournament, or because we make a promise on playing time - this list goes on. Players come to be a Sellersville Belle because of ALL of the aspects of being part of this organization - quality coaching, attention to fundamentals, college exposure, college preparation, fund-raising opportunities, tournaments, etc. The Sellersville Belles Organization is so much more than one person or his acts.

...is the fall tournament that you do not want to miss!! The Sellersville Belles have been hosting this tournament for 16 years and this will be the 17th and bigger and better than ever! We are limiting the field to 48 teams and we will have 3 games of pool play on Saturday with 3 divisional single elimination tournaments on Sunday - the top 16, middle 16, and the final 16 teams. This is a GREAT way to see "what you've got" before you start to prepare to go indoors for the winter. This year's tournament will be Oct. 26-27, 2013.
Other reasons to come to the 17th Annual Fall Classic:
200' fences on all fields
Foul and out of play lines clearly spray painted on the outfield grass
2 balls and umpires at each game
4 game guarantee - 3 pool games, and single elimination on Sunday
Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams in the three divisions
Field maintenance between every game
It has NEVER snowed before or during the Fall Classic
and the list goes on. All of the things that you do not like about tournaments you have attended, you will NOT find at the Fall Classic and all of the things that you do like in the best tournaments you WILL see at the Fall Classic.
Oh and the best thing of all, the tournament fee is ONLY $625.00 and guess what - WE PAY THE UMPIRES!!
Finally, there is no tournament staff that does a better job of getting fields ready should the unpredictable fall weather get wet. We know how to get rid of water.
Oops, I almost forgot - the best snack stand in the northeast!! Come to Druckenmiller Park and dine on some of the best snack stand food you will find and at very reasonable prices. The "must have" of the snack stand in the fall - APPLE DUMPLINGS!!
Do not miss out on this tournament for all of the above mentioned reasons. You will be happy you came to Sellersville - every one always is!!
