better than any other tournament. Most would have bet that games would not have been played on Sunday after the 3/4" of rain the Sellersville area recieved on Saturday afternoon. It would have been less work to cancel all games on Sunday, and probably very few would have complained - but NOOOOOO - the Belles turned to and got fields ready!!
All 48 teams played 3 one hour and twenty minute games on Sunday. The addition of a 14U Belles squad this year brought in a new group of willing backs, not to mention the new 18U Belles parents and families and of course, the "Veteran Belles," made getting Sunday's games in possible. These willing bodies hit the fields at 4:15AM on Sunday and didn't stop until all the games were done at 6:30PM. 8 fields went off on time at 8:00AM, followed by the remaining 3 fields at 9:30AM, right on time without delay!
Special "thanks" goes out to Todd Croissette. Todd's daughter plays for the 14U Belles and he is "the man" at RASA and Veterans Park in the abscence of Paul Hetrick. Todd took charge of the 6 fields at Veterans Park with a willing crew and just made it happen. Thanks Todd!! Well done!
For those of you who got in your games, please remember Sellersville Tournaments in the spring/summer of 2010 when trying to decide where you will play. We work hard at Sellersville to "get games in." If you have not been to a Sellersville Tournament, you do not know what you are missing - come try us!!
Thank you again to all of the volunteers, umpires, and teams and fans for your patience and support of our tournament.
See you all in the Spring!!
