All That Glitters Is Not Gold!!

You have reached the home of the 18 & Under Sellersville Belles Fastpitch Softball Team. This team is made of talented players from Bucks, Berks, Chester, Northampton, Schuylkill, and Montgomery Counties. The 2010 season will be the 17th year of the Sellersville Belles.

Playing in Sellersville is different than most places.  Players who come to Sellersville stay in Sellersville.  Our players and parents develop into a large family-type unit that works hard together to host 4-5 tournaments per year as our major source of fundraising. We do tournaments right at Sellersville and teams come from Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and of course Pennsylvania to experience a Sellersville Belles Tournament.

We strive to put together a team of young ladies who, much like the charter members of the Sellersville Belles were, are a group of hard-working, enthusiastic, hustling players who love the game of softball. We play a schedule of both showcase tournaments as well as competitve elimination tournaments. We teach fundamental skills and want our players to develop into students of the game of fastpitch softball. We place high expectations on our players as they prepare for play at the collegiate level. We believe that because fastpitch is such a great game, it should be fun. The Belles work hard and play hard, and have a good time doing both. Come on out to B. Earl Druckenmiller Park and catch the Sellersville Belles as they bring their exciting brand of "Belles Ball" to the Softball Mecca of Eastern Pennsylvania - Sellersville!!

And the Belles glitter!!

Let's go Belles!!

Not So Thrilla...

... in Sellersvilla VI!  Major bummer!  The Thrilla in Sellersvilla VI has been cancelled due to a lack of teams to participate.  Unfortunately only two Division III college teams could come to Sellersville for this annual day of play.  Arcadia University and Haverford College are as disappointed as the host Belles that this day has to be cancelled.

We apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation may have caused.  We hope that this can be done in 2010.  Only time will tell.

2010 Sellersville Belles Named!!

Eventhough, the Sellersville Belles are not a Gold registered team, in 2009 the Belles were 19-4-1 against Gold Teams.  The 2010 Belles have a tough act to follow; however, a team has been put together that should rival the best Belles teams of the past.  39 different talented young ladies tried out over the course of 8 try outs.  The roster for the 2010 season will be 16 including the following 14 players:

Returning Belles include Alex Cowell, Mandi Baer, Hope Spancake, Krista Ammon, Kim Begley, Sam Kraus, and Brittany Devlin.  Added to that list are the new Belles of Becky Ellis, Alesha Marcks, Jill Schnall, Lindsey Mastro, Brittany Beebe, Jess Kurtz, and Brittany Shoemaker.

This is a group who will grow together quickly and challenge all comers.  This team is a great combination of experience, power hitting, speed, and youth.  Come on out to Sellersville and catch some of the newest brand of Belles Ball!!

NEW AND IMPROVED FALL CLASSIC II...

Yes - New and Improved Fall Classic II!!  You may ask what will be different?  Here's what is new

The Sellersville Belles are excited to announce that the 13th Annual Fall Classic II will now use Veterans Park in Quakertown as one of our 3 venues for our tournament!!  This fall, October 24-25, we will use the 6 fields at Veterans Park, 3 fields at B. Earl Druckenmiller in Sellersville, and the 3 fields at the Library in Telford - 12 fields at 3 close locations.  You may ask why?  We say why not!  Every team will play at least one of 5 pool games at Veterans Park, Druckemiller, and Telford.

New format - 5 pool games - 8 six team brackets - 8 bracket champions will play off in a single elimination format at Veterans Park on Sunday afternoon.  The best of both worlds - pool play and single elimination.  All fields with 200' fences, foul and out of play lines all painted on the field, fields lined after every game.  Only 48 teams will play.

 Do not wait to register!!
