CAN YOU PLAY WITH THESE LADIES?
"What Happens In Vegas, Stays With You Forever!!"

You have reached the home of the 18 & Under Sellersville Belles Fastpitch Softball Team. This team is made of talented players from Bucks, Berks, Chester, Northampton, Schuylkill, and Montgomery Counties. The 2009 season will be the 16th year of the Sellersville Belles.

Playing in Sellersville is different than most places.  Players who come to Sellersville stay in Sellersville.  Our players and parents develop into a large family-type unit that works hard together to host 4-5 tournaments per year as our major source of fundraising. We do tournaments right at Sellersville and teams come from Maryland, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and of course Pennsylvania to experience a Sellersville Belles Tournament.

We strive to put together a team of young ladies who, much like the charter members of the Sellersville Belles were, are a group of hard-working, enthusiastic, hustling players who love the game of softball. We play a schedule of both showcase tournaments as well as competitve elimination tournaments. We teach fundamental skills and want our players to develop into students of the game of fastpitch softball. We place high expectations on our players as they prepare for play at the collegiate level. We believe that because fastpitch is such a great game, it should be fun. The Belles work hard and play hard, and have a good time doing both. Come on out to B. Earl Druckenmiller Park and catch the Sellersville Belles as they bring their exciting brand of "Belles Ball" to the Softball Mecca of Eastern Pennsylvania - Sellersville!!

This years Sellersville Belles will be working to return to the "Big Dance" - ASA Class A 18 & Under National in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We will work hard to achieve this goal because after all - "What Happens In Vegas Stays With You Forever!!"

Champions Named...

There were 3 divisional winners on Sunday at the 13th Annual June Blast.  The winners were as follows:

16U PONY National Qualifier -- Boyertown Storm 1 - Jersey Storm Blue 0

18U PONY National Qualifier -- Allentown Patriettes 8 - North Penn Eclipse 0

18U ASA Invitational -- Chaos Gold 4 - Sellersville Belles 3

The brackets are posted in the handouts section under June Blast.

The Sellersville Belles would like to thank all of the teams that participated in this years June Blast.  We appreciate their patience with unfavorable conditions.  While the schedule was shortened by rain issues, 49 teams played at least two games on Saturday(only 1 team got one game in) and every field was on time Sunday morning to start the single elimination.  Great competition makes for a great tournament and the June Blast had that competition.

Thank you all again, and we hope to see you again next year.

Belles Avoid Mosquito Bite...

...by coming from behind to take a 5-1 victory over the Mosquito Squad from Renton, Washington - near Seattle.

Yes, the Belles raised their "Thursday Night Philly Phare Game" record to 4-1 with a win over the Mosquito Squad.  The real fun began though after the game when both teams exchanged gifts and conversation.  Pizza, cheese steaks, and perogies from Roc's Pizza Plus were devoured post game.  Tastykake Krimpets and Rita's Water Ice topped the dessert list.  A good time was had by all.

With a wet Spring come Mosquitos...

... The Mosquito Squad that is.  Yes, The Mosquito Squad, an 18 & Under team from Renton, Washington will travel to Sellersville on Thursday night June 18th for a single exhibition game against the Sellersville Belles.  The game will be followed by a hour of fellowship and "Philly Phare" foods.

"We started doing this 4 years ago.  The first three teams to visit were from Alaska and last year we played host to a team from Florida.  We play a single game as a "warm-up" for the upcoming tournament and then we have more fun.  We eat pizza, cheese steaks, soft pretzels, Tastykake Krimpets, and Rita's Water Ice.  We typically have a commenorative t-shirt made for the event and this year will be not different.  If gives our players a chance to meet girls from another part of the United States, and many of our players may never get to Washington state."

Come on out Thursday night and catch the action.

Belles Battle To Second...

The 13th Annual June Blast proved to be different than any other.  The amount of teams, the number of fields used, the amount of rain, the amount of sawdust used, and most of all - a second place finish in the 18 & Under ASA Invitational Division.

Parents and volunteers logged over 800 hours to prepare for the tournament and to allow the tournament to be played at all.  Of 122 scheduled games for the weekend, three games were moved, and only 7 were lost on Saturday due to field conditions.  By the end of the day, all 10 fields were in operation.  Sunday went off without a hitch and 3 Champions were named.

Boyertown Storm        16 PONY Champs

Allentown Patriettes    18 PONY Champs

Chaos Gold     18 ASA Invitational Champs

Yes, the Sellersville Belles went 6-2 on the weekend.  On Sunday, the Belles dispatched the Boyertown Storm 9-3.  Then the Belles eliminated TNT Gold from the tournament with a 4-1 victory.  Then the Belles faced the Philadelphia Spirit Gold for the second time in two days.  The game went 11 innings before the Belles pushed a run across in the bottom of the 11th to win 5-4.  In the final, the Belles gave up a couple of first inning runs which were too much to overcome.  The Belles battled but Chaos gold held on for a 4-3 win and the Championship.  It was a well played game on both sides of the diamond.  Said head coach Paul Koehler, "Chaos is a strong team.  They had their way with us in the fall.  We gave up a couple of early runs and just could not get them back.  Chaos got done what they had to do to hold on for the win.  It was a great test for a young Belles team and we will only get better because of it."

Rain Washes Out Saturday...

...and Sunday at the 1st Pepsi/Underarmour Showcase Tournament.  It has been a Spring of rain and it definitely dampened the chance to play.  The Belles got a complete game in on Saturday morning.  The Belles beat the Conneticut Mirage 5-1 in six innings before time ran out.  The Belles had timely hitting and solid defense.  The gem of the game however was the pitching of Kellianna Bradstreet.  Bradstreet took a perfect game into the sixth before giving up a lead off triple and eventually a run.  She finished with the complete game one-hitter.  "Saturday's pitching by KB was great.  KB had ups and downs last weekend, and to come out on Saturday and pitch as well as she did should add to her confidence for the upcoming season," commented Coach Paul Koehler.

The Belles next head to Langhorne this coming weekend for the Annual Pennsbury College Showcase.
