The Board of Directors for South London Minor Sports Association and Southeast London Hockey Association, are pleased to announce the official amalgamation for their hockey programs at both the houseleague and Forest city level. This new association will now be known as South/Southeast London Hockey Association or SSELHA Wild. On Saturday May 13th at 9 a.m., they will be holding their first Annual General Meeting at Nichols arena. All members (parents and players) of South and Southeast are welcome to come out and ask questions to learn more about the new program. For those interested in board positions, they will be looking for volunteers for a variety of positions at that time. The meeting will be chaired by Co-Presidents Brent Tugwell and Gary Drouin who were appointed by their respective boards for next hockey season.

BRUINS HISTORY.
Southeast London Optimists organized hockey and ringette programs for many years, however in 1981 it was decided that they could no longer afford to continue with these programs. Fortunately a group of parents banded together and formed a new association which became known as Southeast London Hockey Association (SELHA). In 1984 we became the Southeast Bruins after a select Atom team went to Buffalo for a tournament and discovered they were staying in the same hotel as the Boston Bruins. The NHL'ers not only took time to talk to the kids and sign autographs but also invited them back to the Buffalo Aud for a skate and gave them tickets to the game. The kids took this lifetime experience back to London and since that date SELHA has proudly named themselves the Bruins.

2006-2007 Coaching Applications

Applications for next year are now available, if you are interested in applying for a coaching position next year fill out the form below and send to Marco Diloreto to get your name on the list of candidates. Forms must be received by June 3rd. Please forward to Marco Diloreto.

Also related to the Coaches Applications please visit the handouts section and download a copy of the S/E Coaches Evaluation Form. Any and all feedback provided helps in ensuring that our association becomes a positive influence for our kids. Complete the form with your thoughts and mail it to Marco Diloreto.
