Sedgwick County Soccer Association: Welcome

A non-profit organization, Sedgwick County Soccer Association (SCSA) was founded in June of 1991. Today, we have nearly 300 teams that involve over 3,500 players and just over 500 coaches. Each weekend, SCSA competition brings out an average of 5,000 people to our 60-acre sports complex in south Wichita. Most teams come from the Wichita area, however some travel from communities such as Hutchinson, Salina, Newton, and Derby to compete. SCSA is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our league is supported wholey by funds from registered players and teams, with the help of local sponsors.

COACHES: Submit tryout information for 2014-2015 no later than May 1

COACHES:  Tryouts for U9 & older competitive teams are held each year between June 15 and July 15.  SCSA will post to our website all teams who are holding tryouts, as well as print a Tryout Booklet that will be available in the league office for pickup.

Cost is $20/ team tryout listing included in the flyer.  Coaches who are not holding tryouts for Fall, but wish to be listed on the website throughout the year may want to consider submitting tryout contact information only as players new to Wichita and SCSA are referred to our tryout flyer often.

SCSA is Seeking Sponsors for Mid America Cup, May 31 - June 1

Our end-of-season tournament will celebrate its third year out at Southlakes and we are excited to be offering partnership opportunities to friends of our soccer community! If you know of a business who has been wanting to get in front of thousands of soccer fans, please let them know of this opportunity.

The sponsorships have been designed to cater to specific groups on the weekend of our tournament, specifically COACHES, TEAMS, REFEREES & FAMILIES/FANS.  We think this is a great chance for any local or national business to market their products or services while helping SCSA raise money for future complex improvements. Our tournament hosts 80-100 teams this weekend, bringing around 4,000 people to our complex over two days.

Contact Rachel at if you want to discuss these and other vendor opportunities.  The sponsorship details can be found under Documents / Sponsors in the menu on the left.

LeBaron Hollimon leaves for NCAA coaching position; SCSA appoints Chris Hall as new Director of Officials

SCSA will see a changing of the guard in our Director of Officials position this Spring. Lebaron Hollimon has accepted a position as assistant men's soccer coach at California State University in San Bernadino."I realized through my opportunity to coach the Wichita Wings, that coaching was the one profession I truly loved. While Wichita is home and a place I love dearly, especially the Wichita soccer community, the opportunity to coach at an NCAA university in Southern California was an opportunity I needed to pursue." It has been a pleasure having Lebaron as part of our team at SCSA and we wish him all the best.

Chris Hall, who has has been involved with soccer for many years, has been appointed as SCSA's new Director of Officials.  Chris has been playing soccer since he was 5 and still plays as an adult whenever possible.  He has officiated indoor soccer for over 10 years, USSF and high school soccer for 8 years, and collegiate soccer for 7 years. He is also the facility manager at Sports Zone indoor soccer complex.

Chris will be at the fields on the weekends and looks forward to meeting the referees and coaches. Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself and ask questions.  Chris can also be contacted at
