Rainz Fall Leagues - 2009
Overview:
The Rainz fall program consists of 10 sessions of instructive lacrosse. Each session will start with skill specific instruction, where each skill taught will build from basic to advanced skills over the 10 sessions, followed by 45 minutes of scrimmaging and game play where players have the opportunity to put the skills learned into use. Rainz will be offering two divisions for the fall. The high school division will include grades 9-12. The middle school division will include grades 6-8 as well as experienced 5th graders.
Schedule:
Middle School League
Location: Marymoor Park, Fields 7, 8, 9, and 4.
Schedule: Sunday’s starting October 4th and running through December 6th. Practices are from 12:45 – 2:30 pm.
Format: The sessions will be 1 hour, 45 minutes long. The first half will be dedicated to warm up and skill instruction. The second half will be dedicated to drills and small games using the skill taught. Depending on the number of players registering for the middle school league scrimmages may also be played.
High School League
Location: Marymoor Park, Fields 7, 8, 9, and 4. (directions can be found under the locations tab on the left hand side of the page).
Schedule: Sunday’s starting October 3rd and running through December 5th. Practices are from 2:15 pm – 4:00 pm.
Format: The sessions will be 1 hour, 45 minutes long. The first half will be dedicated to warm up and skill instruction. The second half will be a scrimmage between the two high school teams focusing on using the skills taught.

What Do Players Need?
All players participating in the Fall Rainz program must bring the following items to each session:
- Mouth Guard
- Goggles
- Stick
- Cleats
- Running shoes
- Weather appropriate athletic clothes (jackets and pants for cold / rainy days)
- Water Bottle
All Rainz players must also be a US lacrosse member.
Season Fees
Girls HS & MS: $300 Seattle Rainz Fall 2009 Season Value
- 10 sessions
- Each team will cap at 18 players a team so that each player can receive individual as well as team coaching.
- Top Coaches with NCAA & WDIA playing and/or coaching experience, plus experienced assistant coaches
- Individual player evaluations and tips
- 1 two-hour clinic session with NCAA Coaches presented by the Stick With It! Lacrosse program (see brochure)
- 2 chalk talk sessions featuring topics such as how to string your stick and game concepts that will put you ahead of the rest
Seattle Rainz Cancellation and Other Policy’s
Cancellation Policy: If for any reason you have to cancel your registration, you will be issued a credit for all fees paid to the event, less the online registration processing fee; if you cancel before the first session. This credit will be valid for any Rainz event for one year from the date the registration was made and is transferable to another immediate family member. If you cancel after the first week of practice, no credit or refunds will be issued. NO exceptions.Inclement
Weather policy: In the event of inclement weather, Rainz Lacrosse will make every effort to continue the scheduled program at the discretion of the event director. If extreme weather occurs, such as lightening, extreme heat, hail, snow etc., Rainz Lacrosse may be forced to cancel the scheduled program in order to protect player participants and staff. If an event is canceled due to weather, a notice will be posted on our website’s bulletin board and an email will be sent out to you. We encourage parents to make arrangements for the pick up of their children, if the weather suddenly turns or if lightning, snow or severe weather warnings are issued. There will be no partial refunds or refunds due to unforeseeable weather circumstances.Rainz Lacrosse reserves the right to cancel an event for any reason. If there is low enrollment or a facility change and we are forced to cancel the event, you will be refunded all monies paid to Rainz Lacrosse.
Attendance Policy: Players are not required to attend a certain number of practices in our fall program but are encouraged to attend as many as possible. Please do note that if players miss multiple practices this does affect the quality of scrimmage’s the other player receive, also, Rainz does not take responsibility of the progress (or lack there of) for players who cannot attend more than 70% of sessions. Each session’s instruction builds on the previous sessions, therefore if a player misses a session they may be behind for the next session.
