Dbacks 2006 rematch winners
The Red Sox once again captured the American League regular season crown but for the second straight year the Indians kept them from the finals with an upset win. The Diamondbacks would advance to the finals for the second straight year setting up a rematch of the 2005 World Series with the Indians. Game #1 was a 13-2 convincing victory for the Dbacks as Mike Hannon led the way on the mound (Complete game win) and at the plate (3-3, 4-RBIs). Hugh Baver led the Indians attack collecting three hits and an RBI. Game #2 was a low scoring affair with the Diamondbacks getting all the runs they would need in the third inning. Paul Brooks and Sun Kay Chu led off with singles, Dave Dionne then singled in Brooks and Chu scored on a Dean Rancourt Sac fly. DBack righty Rob Garland would not need anymore support as he tossed a complete game six hitter for a 3-1 win. Eric Moore was solid on the hill for the Indians, both in relief of game #1 and in throwing all nine innings of game #2.

Dbacks scalp Indians in 2005
After upsetting the defending champion Red Sox in the American League Championship game 1-0, it looked like the Indians might pull-off another Seacoast League upset and capture the overall League Championship. However, the Diamondbacks (winners of the National League Title), would score two runs in the bottom half of the eighth inning of game-1 for a come from behind win in the Seacoast League World Series. The Dbacks would also take game-2 for a sweep of the 2005 crown.
Game-1 featured a great pitchers duel with the Dbacks Don George coming out victorious over Tribe ace righthander Hugh Baver 6-5. Mike Hannon and Rob Garland hit homers for the Dbacks with the winning run coming home on a RBI single by Mike Pelletier.
In Game-2 the Dbacks jumped to an early 4-0 and never looked back. Hannon would go the distance on the hill for the Dbacks striking out 10 in the 9-5 win.
Special thanks to all those who make this possible...Steve Goff, Peter Hebert, Dana Gilbert, Brian Sanborn, John Cogan, Charlie Driscoll, Jim Hale, Gary Noyes, Ray McGilvray, Bob Plaisted, Rich Drummand, Rob Nadeau, Tim Stillson, Tom McGee, Mike Roether and many, many more.

Red Sox end 86 years of pain in this league too.
After another strong regular season, the Red Sox were playing well throughout the playoffs too. With the National League Champion DBACKS taking an early exit via the Braves...it was the Astros winning a thriller over the Bravos to make the finals. Game #1 was a great battle between Brian Stewart of the Astros and Jim Stevens of the Sox. Despite an early lead the Astros could not hold on as the Sox took the game 4-3. Stewart would homer early in game #2 but the Red Sox once again prevailed 8-6.

Diamondbacks 2003 World Series Champs
After both teams enjoyed great regular seasons...The finals looked to be a dog fight and it was. Dbacks Lefty Terry Hopper would hold off the Red Sox in game-#1 5-4 despite a fine pitching performance from Sox ace Jim Stevens. Game-#2 was a 7-3 win for the DBacks as Mike Hannon went the distance for the win.

Braves Take 2002 Title
2002 was another highly successful season in N.H. Once again the Indians (American League) and the Reds (National League) won their respective regular season titles. However, it was the National League Braves that would take the 2002 Seacoast League World Series in two straight games.
After upsetting the Reds in the National League final 7-3 behind a solid pitching performance by Ken Almon, the Braves took Game-1 of the World Series 4-2 over the defending Seacoast Champion Indians. Almon was once again solid on the mound scattering seven hits in rout to a complete game win. The Braves completed the sweep win a 9-6 win in Game-2. Ben Ruggles (who also played outstanding Shortstop in game-1 and all season long) went the distance on the hill collecting the win for Manager Eric Schlapak and the 1st Seacoast Championship for the Braves.
Special thanks go out to...Peter Hebert, Alan Buell, Art Hoover, Geoff Crosby, David Rau, Rich Newman, Rob Garland, Dennis Leclair, Ray MaGilvray, Bob Plaisted, Doreen Cole, Charlie Driscoll, Ken and Barbara Godin.
Indians win 2001 World Series
The Seacoast World Series started to look like it would be a runaway for the Cinderella Indians as they crushed the Reds in Game #1 14-0. Randy Spartachino and Mike Roether combined on a 1-hitter for the Tribe. The Reds would bounce back in Game #2 with a 6-5 victory. Ron Mitchell went 3-3 including a double and a home run. Mitchell also picked up the win on the mound. Game #3 could have gone either way. The Indians took an early 3-0 lead but the Reds came alive late to make it 3-2 entering the ninth. The Indians would take control of the game in the top half of the inning thanks to a 3-run home run by Roether. In the bottom of the ninth, Spartachino set the Reds down in order to record his fourth win of the playoffs and give the Indians the crown.
2000 Season
Despite a 7-7 regular season record, the Diamondbacks defeated the Indians for there fourth straight Seacoast League Title.
Behind the bat of Tony Cimino and the arm of Paul Brooks, the Diamondbacks defeated the Indians in game #1 10-3. The loss was the first of the year for the previously undefeated Tribe team. Cimino belted two 2-run home runs and was 3-3 at the plate with one walk. Bob Nadeau knocked in three other runs on a 2-run single and a sacrifice fly. Brooks did the rest scattering eight hits in the complete game victory. Brooks, Clair Crandall and Tom Coate each collected two hits and Dan Hebert added an RBI double in the Diamondbacks 15 hit attack.
In Game #2 The Diamondbacks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. Brooks and Dave Dionne both singled and later scored on a bases loaded walk and a fielding miscue. The Diamondbacks added another run in the 5th as Nadeau singled and Brooks doubled him in to make it 3-0.
The Indians did not give in. In the bottom of the seventh they would score two runs and would have the bases loaded. With one out, Steve Hatten singled. Brian Syzmanski then doubled him in to make the score 3-1. Randy Spartachino then singled to right putting runners on the corners. A Mike Roether ground out scored Syzmanski to make it 3-2. Phil Blood was then hit by a pitched ball and Nick Walts walked to load the bases. However the threat would end there. Diamondbacks Hurler Eddie Boisseneau was able to get the next batter to fly to center to end the game in give the title to the Diamondbacks.
Both Boisseneau and Tribe pitcher John Tolfree pitched outstanding games.
1999 Season
The Seacoast NH MSBL completed their 9th season with the Diamondbacks winning their third straight title 6-0. Pitching and defense proved to be the difference for the Diamondbacks as they outscored their three playoff opponents 34-1. The Championship game saw the Diamondbacks jump on Indians ace John Tolfree early, scoring four second inning runs highlighted by a bases clearing double by Dave Dionne. Herb Perry blasted a Titanic home run in the eighth for the Diamondbacks. Diamondbacks lefty Al Buell (2-0 in the playoffs) took care of the rest as he tossed six scoreless innings to atone for an earlier season loss to the Indians. Paul Brooks pitched three scoreless innings in relief to earn his second save of the playoffs to go along with one victory.
The league would like to acknowledge the fine individual efforts of: Chris Picou, Rich Beaupre, Bob Kiser, Ron Mitchell, Jon Hendrick, Phil Blood, Kurk Flynn and Dan Hebert as well as the members of the Giants team that is still hanging tuff. great job guy's!

Diamondbacks sweep Indians for Title
The underdog Diamondbacks took game 1 in convincing fashion 10-3 to hand the Indians there first loss of the season.
In game 2 the DBacks hung on as the Indians had a last inning rally for a 3-2 win. The sweep gave the Diamondbacks there fourth straight Seacoast league title.

National League holds off American League
In the leagues first all-star game since 1993, the National League defeated the American League 11-10.
Down by three runs entering the bottom of the ninth, the American Leaguers rallied. With two men out and one run in, Jon Hendrick (Athletics) drilled a single to center. National league center fielder Ron Mitchell (Reds) threw a strike to first baseman Tim Stilson (Braves), who then threw to Catcher Eric Schlapak (Braves) to nail the games potential tying run at the plate. The play was also the last out of a very exciting inaugural American vs. National game format.
Dan Hebert (DBacks), Schlapak (Braves) and Rich Beaupre (Reds) hit homers for the National League. Mike Roether (Indians) homered for the American leaguers. Al Buell (Astros) threw three scoreless innings to open the game for the National League. Hendrick (Athletics) Pitched well in relief for the American League.
