South Durham Little League: News: SDLL Members' email list
I created a listserv called members@sdll.org and put all of the email addresses I have for current SDLL players. If you are not yet on this list, send me your email address and I'll add you to this list. Some have expressed reservations about giving out their email addresses due to spamming. I have taken the following two precautions to reduce the possibility of your account being spammed because of being in this list.
I have made this list a CLOSED and MODERATED list to ensure privacy and no spam while at the same time giving us the vehicle through which to communicate more effectively with current players. This list will be used primarily as a supplement to our website (www.sdll.org) to communicate to everyone involved with SDLL about upcoming events such as Spring registration, Player Evaluations, the End of Season Fan, Sponsor, & Player Appreciation Picnic, our Annual Members' Meeting, etc. If you have a message that you believe needs to be sent to everyone involved with SDLL, feel free to send the message to members@sdll.org Your message will be approved by either the President or one of the two Vice Presidents of SDLL before being sent to the list.
Since this is a CLOSED list, your email client must be configured with the email address which I used to register you on the list. If your message bounces back to you as not being a registered email address, simply forward that message to me at info@sdll.org and I will fix it for you.
Since this is a MODERATED list, all messages sent to the list must be approved by the owner of the list (yours truly). This is the first list I have created for SDLL that is a moderated list. I configured it this way to reduce the number of messages we receive on this list. For example, I won't "approve/forward" messages from members re: garage sales, free kittens, etc. (unless I hear from a majority of you that you'd like this type of communication from this SDLL membership).
If you have any questions or concerns about this list, or if you would like for me to add another email account (home or work) to this list, feel free to send your question/concern/additional email address to me at info@sdll.org. If you know of a friend or neighbor (or neighbor who is a friend) whom you think would like to be on this list, feel free to have them send an email to info@sdll.org requesting to be put on the list.
