The Mayor's Cup games scheduled for this evening at Bull City Little League fields have been cancelled due to rain.  Fields will be assessed midday tomorrow with the intent of playing the Cup games tomorrow.  The same game times and schedule will apply.  See posting below.

The Mayor's Cup featuring the SDLL division tournament winners vs. the BCLL winners is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18.  ALL games will be played at the Bull City Little League Complex located at 918 Junction Rd (off Cheek Rd).  Please plan some extra travel time around 5pm if you are headed to the early games.  Overflow parking is available behind the outfield of field #2 and can be accessed via the third base side of the field.

SDLL is the home team this year for all games.

6pm Field #3:  SDLL AA - Tigers vs. BCLL Railriders

6pm Field #2:  SDLL AAA - A - Rangers vs. BCLL Indians

8pm Field #3:  SDLL AAA - N - Marlins vs. BCLL Nuts

8pm Field #2:  SDLL Majors - Phillies vs. BCLL Braves 

Food trucks will be onsite serving pizza, hot dogs, burgers, etc.  Come on out and watch some great local baseball and support your SDLL teams and players!

Our Spring Season ended with rain delays in line with much of our regular season.  We were still able to get the games in and play and watch some exciting baseball.

Good luck on Tuesday against BCLL in the Mayor's Cup!  Go SDLL!!! 

Each Year Little League organizations are able to field teams to participate in All Star tournaments.  All Star players are selected from the top performing players in each age bracket (not division specific) of the league.  Players selected to represent South Durham Little League as an All Star certainly have excelled in their play on the field; as importantly, though, they have demonstrated model sportsmanship, consistent effort and an overall superior understanding of the game.  The decisions regarding selctions of players come from a mutual agreement and voting process amoung the league's coaches.  Parents are NOT able to request that their child be singled out for consideration.  ALL players are listed by team on age appropriate ballots that coaches review.  The link below is a list of each team that South Durham Little League will field along with a description of the process for the selection of coaches and players of each team.

2013 SDLL All Stars  

Thank you to all Juniors and Seniors players who came out to registration and evaluations Saturday at Hillside.  We are still in need of some players to complete our rosters, so spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested.  It is not too late.  If you or anyone you know is interested in playing, please email President@sdll.org or jperry@nc.rr.com.

In addition, please let us know if you would be interested in coaching. 

Juniors and Seniors league play is for players age 13 - 16.  12 year olds not currently playing in our Majors division are also eligible. 

Registration is now open for our Juniors and Seniors 2013 Spring Season.  You may download and complete the Registration Form available below and mail it along with payment and the required documents in advance of Skills Evaluations to:

You may also register in person at Skills Evaluations.  To complete registration please remember you will need:

1)  Completed Registration Form (available below)

2)  Completed Medical Release Form (available below)

3)  Payment of $150 cash or check to SDLL

4)  Copy of the Player's Birth Certificate

5)  Copy of one Parent's Driver's License

Skills Evaluations are currently scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013.  Please continue to check SDLL.Org for time and location information as we get closer to the date.

 Registrations received after May 4 will be assesed a $25 late registration fee and be placed on a team if there is a spot avialable on a roster.   Otherwise, they may choose to be placed on a wait list.

Players eligible for our Juniors Division:  Players League Age 13 - 14 (Birth Date 5/1/98 - 4/30/00) and League Age 12 players (Birth Date 5/1/00 - 4/30/01) who are not currently playing Little League are also eligible for Juniors.

Players eligible for our Seniors Division:  Players League Age 15 - 16 (Birth Date  5/1/96 - 4/30/98).

NOTE REGARDING SENIORS:  SDLL will ONLY field Seniors teams if there are enough players and coaches to field 2 teams.  So, please register and plan to attend Skills Evaluations, but understand the Seniors situation is still TBD.  Encourage all of your friends and former teammates to come out too!

Medical Release Form 

Join fellow SDLL players and families on Friday, April 26 at 7pm at Jordan High School for a Field of Dreams Night.  Jordan High School Baseball is inviting SDLL players wearing their uniform shirt to receive free admission to the Jordan vs. Hillside varsity game.  All players will be invited to run out on the field with players at the beginning of the game and then come out on the field after the game.  In recognition of SDLL's partnership with Hillside High School, SDLL players will run out on the field with both a Jordan and a Hillside player at the beginning of the game in recognition of the growing baseball community around us.

Watch carefully and you may recognize many former SDLL players on both teams! 

Please note the Revised Spring 2013 Master Schedule.   T-Ball, AA, AAA - American and AAA - National do not have any changes to their game schedules.  HOWEVER, practice times and locations may have changed!!!  Please verify all of your team's practices against this schedule.  For the Majors division, game days, times and practices have been changed.  Please review the complete schedule.

Coaches - please insure that you communicate any changes in your practice or game schedules to your parents as soon as possible.   Additionally, use this schedule to determine available fields and slots for make-up games.
