The recent growth of lacrosse in the West has been remarkable. It is the result of the tireless effort and dedication of many of the game's great players, coaches and protagonists.
Lax West was established to actively participate in the continued development of the sport by creating opportunities which enhance the lacrosse experience and knowledge for players, coaches and fans across the West. These opportunities will include instructional and competitive camps, clinics and events, as well as coaching clinics and seminars, invitational exhibitions, games and tournaments. Lax West has also partnered with ESPN Plus and ESPNU to develop made for television lacrosse events.
The goal of Lax West is to provide a quality environment in which we can foster the growth of America's first sport. We will teach lacrosse within a framework truly representative of our players and coaches, reflecting character and leadership, while honoring the true spirit of the game.
Founded by former UVA 4-time All American Michael Watson, the Lax West organization is committed to helping its participants reach their full potential as competitive lacrosse players and coaches. Through a variety of platforms, Lax West will help develop the physical and mental skills necessary to prepare student-athletes and their coaches for the highest levels of competition on the lacrosse field, while equipping them with the discipline and confidence to succeed beyond the field's boundaries.

Shooterz Lacrosse was founded in 2003. Our program has grown from a traveling club team (which provided opportunities for players to participate in Regional Lacrosse Tournaments) to hosting off-season leagues (instructional opportunities), private lessons and much more for San Diego Youth High School Players.
The name Shooterz Lacrosse came from the most dominate Post Collegiate Club Team in Southern California, Cuervo Shooters (80s and 90s) in the West Coast. This team comprised of many NCAA Collegiate All Americans, local club college grads and coaches; most of whom played and coached at SDSU. Throughout the years of growing up and watching our high school coaches, college coaches and mentors play and the name just stuck in our heads. We wanted to carry the name in remembrance in what/who has given us so many opportunities on and off the field.

This lacrosse program was started in 1996 by Bonnie and I. Back then there were 42 players from all over the county that played in the mud and rain behind Rancho Bernardo High School. There were players from Coronado, Del Mar, Rancho Sante Fe, LaJolla, as well as RB, PQ and Poway. The other communities have each created their own youth programs (always the plan), and the Inland Corridor program has continued to grow steadily each year.
