Georgia SD Lady Eagles Basketball: History
SOUTHEAST DEKALB LADY EAGLES
The Southeast Dekalb Basketball Organization was formed in 1997. The team was founded with the intent of keeping Dekalb County talent in Dekalb County. We have now grown to expand our base throughout the surrounding counties.
We began with one team, 12U girls. That team consisted of fifteen players, ages 10-12. Many of those young ladies are still in our program and have progressed to be considered some of the best talent in the metro area and state.
Our Mission
**Teach Fundamental Basketball
**Stress Positive Attitudes and Sportsmanship
**Develop Critical Life Skills: Leadership, Teamwork and Communication
**Prepare Our Players to Play at the Next Level
**Introduce our Youth to the Business Community in our Area
** Provide a Quality Program for the Youth of Dekalb County and Surrounding Areas.
**Focus on the Individual-Not Just the Athlete

Our youth are taught key fundamental basketball skills and its relevance to success in life. We believe, in basketball, as in life, it takes teamwork to progress, teamwork to succeed and teamwork to attain goals, both individually and collectively.
This is the foundation of Southeast Dekalb Basketball.
Our players proudly represent Stone Mountain, Lithonia, Decatur, Clarkston, Atlanta, College Park and Griffin. S.D. players, as major contributors to their school teams, are also leaders in their schools. We truly believe our youth are prime examples of the vitality, the determination, and the work ethics of their communities. We are very proud of this remarkable group of young ladies.
