Skowhegan to Host the 10U and 12U District Tournament
Skowhegan will be hosting the 10U and 12U District Tournament June 23 to 26. These tournaments are an exciting time for our players. Hosting a tournament such as this helps raise money for Skowhegan Cal Ripken unfortunately it takes a lot of work to put on a tournament. Volunteers are needed to help, there are signups in the snack shack. Hope to see you there cheering for our Skowhegan Teams!!
SCRB Game Rules
*All players must play at least 2 innings and bat once in each game. *10 player (4 outfielders) rule for minor league. *10 run mercy rule after 4 innings in a regular minor league game. *Extra hitter rule for Majors. *Pitchers can pitch 3 innings then require 1 day of rest before pitching again. *If Pitcher pitches 3 innings +1 pitch they require 3 days of rest before pitching again. *Pitchers can only pitch 6 innings per week. *No re-entry into game on pitchers. Sunday, April 24 The Skowhegan Community Center assigns fields for play based on availability. Call 474-6901 to schedule fields for practices. They will also be determining when fields open for the season and when they are closed due to inclement weather. If games are canceled it is the responsiblity of the Coach to reschedule and also contact Amos Reid for umpires.
