It is with sadness and shock that we received the news that our District Administrator, Rich Young, passed away Tuesday, after suffering heart attack on Monday. Many of you have met Rich at tournament games or during the regular season. He has been a part of the Little League family in District 39 for more than 40 years and worked tirelessly on behalf of Little League baseball and for the youth of our communities. His presence, contribution and guidance will be greatly missed.
A Little League foundation in Rich's name will be established, and the family has requested donations to this foundation in lieu of flowers.Click here for details. A statement has been posted by officials on the District 39 website. Scotts Valley Little League joins all the leagues of our district recognizing and mourning the passing of a dear friend.

Reminder - Each team is now REQUIRED to provide an adult, or sibling over 13, for six 2-hour shifts in the Snack Shack over the season. To sign up for your shifts, go to the Snack Shack's online calendar (Snack Shack Calendar).
o Youths 13 years and older interested in working in the Snack Shack this season need to fill out an application and return it to the Snack Shack. Applications can be found on the Handouts page. If you are a returning Snack Shack worker, please email Lisa Marshall (lisam.sv@sbcglobal.net).

GAME RESULTS for MAJORS - AAA - AA: Commissioners and/or Team Managers, please email game scores to svllscores@me.com The game results will be added to this web site and current league standings will be available under STANDINGS (No standings are kept for either T-Ball or A-Ball, though the game schedules are posted on this site.).
We will also send this information to the Scotts Valley Banner and hopefully these SVLL results will be included in the weekly Banner edition. So please also send game scores and highlights to Jim Reed (jimreedsv@gmail.com).

GAME SCHEDULES: Game schedules for all games are listed by League, under the SCHEDULES heading. Please let us (mhilton1@mac.com) know of any schedule changes for any level league so we can keep the web site as current as possible. The "OFFICIAL" schedules are now posted on the web site. Please see the "SCHEDULES" for the official, current schedule.)
GAME SCHEDULE CHANGES: If games are postponed or dates/times need to be changed, both Team Manager's must agree upon the change and the change must be approved by the League Commissioner and Umpire-in-Chief (for AA, AAA, Majors). Once agreement is reached, please send an email to mhilton1@mac.com so the web site and "OFFICIAL" schedule can be updated.
STANDINGS: Check the STANDINGS button to see how your favorite Majors-AAA-AA team is doing. (Managers/Commissioners - Be sure to let the Webmaster know game results so they can be posted on the this site.)
RAIN: In the event of "light rain" (drizzle), contact your Team Manager about your game being rescheduled. Assume the game is "on" unless you hear differently from your manager. The decision to play is usually made just before game time by the League Commissioner and/or the Umpire and both Team Managers, and is based on field conditions and safety concerns.
SVLL BOARD OF DIRECTORS: The Little League Board usually meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm (Off-Season) or 7:30pm (During Season). Interested parties are welcomed to attend. For exact day, time and location, please check the calendar of events. Approved Board minutes and the current meeting agenda are listed under the HANDOUTS section. SVLL is looking for volunteers who wish to join our Board of Directors for next year.
