Scotts Valley Little League: Welcome

2014 Fall Ball Registration Open

Scotts Valley Little League's Fall Ball is a casual program to continue the kids' baseball experience during the off-season. It will run for 5 consecutive Sundays starting September 21st, and will include a bonus session in January prior to tryouts for the regular season. Sessions take place at the Little League fields over at Vine Hill Elementary School and Siltanen Park. The kids will be broken down into groups based on their expected level of play in 2015 (e.g., T-ball, Single A, Double A, Triple A, and Majors). Sessions will consist of drills to help improve the kids' skills, followed by a short game. The emphasis this year will be on playing baseball games as we will be playing games internally and also looking to schedule some crossover games vs. SLV. Kids age 5 to 12 (as of April 30, 2015) are welcome to join. The cost is $40 ($25 for t-ballers, as their sessions will be shorter), and includes a t-shirt, plus otter pops after every session.

  • T-ball (5 and 6 year olds, using soft baseballs) - 1:00 to 2:30 - T-ball field
  • A-ball (6 to 9 year olds, using soft baseballs) - 1:00 to 3:00 - Single A Field
  • AA-ball (7 to 9 year olds, using hardballs) - 12:30 to 3:00 - Double A Field
  • AAA-ball (9 to 11 year olds, using hardballs) - 12:30 to 3:00 - Triple A /Majors Field
  • Majors (10 to 12 year olds, using hardballs) - 12:30 to 3:00 - Triple A /Majors Field

Kids should arrive with a baseball hat and glove, and wear athletic attire. Baseball cleats are recommended, especially for the older kids. It is also a good idea that the kids bring Gatorade/water, and wear sun screen on the sunny days.

After signing up, parents will receive an e-mail with further information during the week prior to the first session.
