What can you expect during our 39th spring season (girls K-9th grade)?

  1. Professional training for our volunteer coaches that includes running several team practices. This is conducted by former NCAA college players.
  2. Preseason skills clinics in January run by seven time national champion coach Heinz Mueller
  3. Cool team uniforms
  4. Opening Ceremonies
  5. ASU night
  6. AZ D-Backs night
  7. Coaches picnic
  8. Opening ceremonies
  9. Post season championship tournament
  10. Catcher clinics run by former NCAA catchers
  11. Pitching clinics run by former NCAA pitchers
  12. Team equipment
  13. Great new friends and family fun!
  14. As many games as possible to be played on Saturdays.

Volunteers needed:

We are looking for new volunteers to fill key positions on our board:  Board Secretary, VP of Equipment and VP of Pictures/Trophies.  These are roles that afford you the opportunity to give back to SMS without interfering with coaching or attending games.  If you have wanted to volunteer but have been constrained by your schedule, one of these opportunities will be perfect for you!  Please contact Carolyn Benson at smsadmin@cox.net if you are interested or want to learn more. 

PRE-SEASON Spring 2010 SKILLS CAMP INFORMATION

A pre-season skills camp will be held at Horizon Park fields 3 and 4 . These will be conducted by current and former NCAA players and coaches for only $15.00 per session ($25 for the advanced session on the 16th! There will be two sessions for each group. There will be NO registration taken at the clinic, sign-up is required with registration.

Full Saturday, January 9th 10am – noon K-5th $15 Full

Saturday, January 9th 1-3pm K-5th $15

Full Saturday, January 16th 10am – noon K-5th $15 Full 

Saturday, January 16th 1-3pm advanced skill development grades 6th and up $25

Improved performance is offering the following clinics:

  • Team Training - 3 sessions specially designed for your team
  • Catcher Clinics
  • Private Hitting Instruction

Help "Light Up Cheyenne in 2010!"
